My alarm blares out an annoying screech. I groan loudly and turn it off. As I get up, I hop into the shower and then get dressed. After that, I go downstairs and fix myself some waffles that can easily be made in the toaster. I eat quickly and go back upstairs. The time on my phone reads: 5:23am. I hardly ever get up this early. The only reason I got up early today is because my flight to California is at 7:15am. I grab my bags and hear honking outside. I guess the taxi’s here.

As soon as I get into the cab, I try my hardest not to fall asleep. This is pretty difficult, considering I wake up at around 11am each and every day. We get to the airport soon enough and I get all checked in. Checking the time, I realize it’s 7am exactly. Whew, that was close. Next thing I know is they’re calling my boarding flight group and I’m on the plane. I stare out the window on the airplane, and suddenly the plane lurches forward and we’re in the air.

The lights of the city are extremely bright, yet fascinating to see. I smile, and think of how I’m going to get to meet all my friends at Vidcon, and Emily too. Emily. The name runs through my mind and now I can’t stop thinking about her. Stop Graser, you can’t be thinking of her. I sigh and close my eyes, awaiting sleep.

When I arrive in California, the airport is packed. And when I say packed, I mean packed. Loads of people are just about everywhere, and so I lose a little hope in finding my baggage. I look for the section marked "A" that has my luggage. I get to the area, find my stuff after about 15 minutes, and head over to the car rental place. All the other car rental places are busy, except for mine. I quickly get through the line and get the keys to my car. Sweet.

Walking outside, I click the unlock button a few times on my car keys. I find my car, a nice red Mustang.
“Awesome,” I accidentally say aloud. Oh well, it’s California, no one’s going to be paying attention to me. I get inside my car and go to my hotel, the one right near the Anaheim Convention Center.  Once I’m checked in, I check the time. It’s only 8:37am. Wow. Oh yeah, there’s a time change. Silly me. I get up to my room to find it neatly arranged. There’s a bathroom to my right when I first walk in, and an open closet on my left. As I look straight ahead, there is one king-sized bed with a flat-screen TV across from it. Next to the TV are drawers. A desk lies in the corner with a comfy looking chair. On either side of the king-sized bed are two nightstands with lamps. No alarm clock? Weird.

“Ah,” I say out loud to myself.

“This is perfect.” I fall onto my bed and check the time. 8:44am, my phone reads. I squint at the battery percentage to see that it’s at 34%. Yikes. I quickly put my phone on charge and go into the bathroom. There’s a Jacuzzi with a separate shower. This is totally sweet. I just can’t wait until tomorrow, when Vidcon will actually be starting.
