Chapter 7: If I Know...

~ Flashback in New York City ~

[Drake's Point Of View]

Oh my I'm so nervous. Tonight is my final football match. If we win this match, my team will be national member of USA's football team. If I win this match, Hannah must be proud of me. That is the perfect time for me to confess to her.

Okay, here is the confession for the reader. I, Drake, have been keeping a feeling for Hannah. Yeah, Hannah who originally from Korea. She is my everything. I've been wanting to make this confession since I'm grade 4. Oh my, talking about her making me smile alone.

I want to see her right now. It is 8:15 p.m. right now. 15 minutes more and if I win, I'll get her heart this night. It has to be done tonight. If not, I will lose her forever.

~ 15 minutes later ~

"5,4,3,2 and 1, FIERCE NYC WHOOO" we shouted our team's name. We walk down the gate and heads to the field. Oh I can see Jane at the highest level of audience seat. Where's Hannah? Oh maybe she went to the toilet, there's an empty seat next to Jane. There's a no way she wouldn't come.

~ The Match Is Over ~

"Hoorayyyyy~! WE WON! FIERCE NYC WE DID IT~!," we shouted together. Now, for my confession.. where's Hannah?

"Oh, Jane! Here!" Jane sees me and run to me. She had a guilty face. "Hey Jane-hmm is Hannah coming? I need to tell her something, really," I ask her constantly.

"Hey Drake, I wanna tell you something.. and it's about Hannah.. she-"

"Can't you just let me see her ? I need to confess to her! I like her okay!! Since we're grade 4! So please just let me see her," Jane stop for a second and continues.

"Drake, Hannah had move to Korea. She found out that she had a brother. She needs her family more than us, that's why I and Miss Haul let her go. You know what she wants right?," Jane said.

The words Jane threw to me feels like fallen rocks from a hill and hits my head super hard.

I cry. Yeah, me, Drake, the guy who just scored 2 goals on the field cries because of a girl. I missed her.. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?! JANE, WE'RE BESTFRIENDS SINCE WE'RE KID. MUST YOU KEEP THIS FROM ME?!... when did she go.. tell me, tell me everything,"
Jane was shocked to hear me scream.

Maybe she's terrified too. "Sh-she went just 30 minutes before your m-match. She doesn't want t-to make you stress and she wants you to win this match and be a national player," Jane also explained everything. I'm speechless. I don't want to be mad at Jane or shout at her. She can't hold the blame.

I pack my things and went straight home. "Hey Drake, don't you want to go to the five star restaurant to celebrate our win-" My team member asks but even before he could finish his offer, I cut his words.

"NO THANKS" I state angrily.

"But the coach is paying.." continues one of my other teammates, Terry. But I ignore him and drive my car to go home.

As soon as I reach home, I call Hannah. I text her. I spam her email. I spam her message. But none of them answer my question. I feel empty. If I know.. I would reply to all her messages early, take enough picture with her and made a lot if memories so that I can look at our picture, each one of it every day, I will bring her to her most desire place and the most wanted place she wants to go and most importantly, I will confess to her since I was in grade 4.

I regret not appreciating every seconds of my time with her. I regret not doing everything earlier as I thought she would never gone from my sight.

Only if I know everything...
