Chapter 36: Small Gifts

After class, I quickly run after Haneul. She goes to some quiet place and I don't know why.

"Haneul-ah!" I shout. She stops in her track.

"Wahh, you really walk fast huh," I laugh, trying to catch my breath. She didn't even turn his head to me.

"Why are you so mad at me?" I shout to her and walk slowly to her.

"I'm not mad. It's just... ergh, nothing!" She shout which taken me back. I haven't had a chance to tell her anything but she's already gone. I walk back to my group and see they already split up to their lockers. 

~ The Next Day ~

I enter my Science class and Haneul is sitting in a group with Yugyeom and JeongIn. That view got me mad so I quickly sit on the empty seat next to Changbin and another girl.

"Have you settled with Haneul?" Changbin whispers to me as Jina Saem has started her lessons.

"I met her. But I couldn't say anything. Maybe she's still mad," I turn my head to him.

"Why didn't you say anything? What happened between you to actually?"

"*sigh* We were relaxing the morning after her fight with Drake, and I tried to ki-"

"Mr. Hwang, could you please explain about this experiment? I could see you are busy discussing with Mr. Seo there," Jina saem cuts my words.

I stand up and quickly flip through my textbook to find which experiment was she explaining.

"Oh, it was abo-"

"I see you haven't even open your textbook. Sit down!" Again, my words are cut by her. I sit down with a pout and look at Haneul. She is busy explaining to JeongIn. Why must I feel jealous? He is my member.

"Yaa he is our dongsaeng. Don't go hard on him," Changbin pats my back and I slap myself from being jealous.

After class, Changbin and I move right away out from class but Haneul is still sitting, doing some studies alone.

"Hey, I'm going to-"

"It's okay. Take your chance, good luck!" Changbin cuts my words and I quickly fix myself to talk to Haneul.

I sit next to her but she doesn't even realize that someone is beside her since she is so focused. I cough a little and she stops her works. She turns her head to me and looking shocked.

"Why are you still here, go home. School is over," She says to me, continuing her work.

"We need to talk. Really. I have something to tell you," After I say that, she smile. It's been a long time.

"What about tonight? We meet somewhere?" I ask and she nods.

"I'll text you later. I need to go," I say to her and leave right away. I didn't go home yet. Instead, I take a peek on her through the door and see that she is holding her heart tight. I smile as I see her smiling.

~ Time Passes By ~

Me: Meet me at Han River at 7 p.m. Don't be late.

I text her around 5:40 in the evening after I finish preparing my suprise for her.

[Song Haneul's POV]

After I got the text from Hyunjin, I quickly go to my closet and search for some clothes to wear. I find a black skirt and a striped blouse that is perfect to go even I never wear skirts that are shorter than my knee. After I take my shower, I change into the outfit and look into the mirror.
