Simón and Ámbar have been together for months now, the school year was over. Summer was almost gone as well. They spent as much time as possible during summer break because she would be leaving for Paris once the new school year started, she invited him to come live with her. He denied this because he wanted to stay here to focus on the band and he also didn't want to leave all of his friends behind. Even if it meant that he got to be close to his girlfriend.
Simón knew they had to say goodbye soon but he didn't want to think about. He hopes that they will be able to have a long distance relationship, they promised to at least try it. He didn't want to be apart from her. Especially now that everything is going great between them, they had a lot of fights about her leaving. But they eventually agreed to try the long distance thing.
It was the last day before she really had to leave, she was supposed to leave last week. But he convinced her to stay a couple of days longer. But the time was running out now. They decided to spend her last day here together. He took a day off for this and she packed her bags yesterday.
He knew this would be hard, he didn't know how hard it would be. He planned a day full of romantic things to do, he wanted everything to go perfect. That's how he wanted her to remember her last day in Buenos Aires (for now).
He planned a picnic in the park for lunch and then they would skate around the city all afternoon because believe it or not, he hasn't seen everything of this beautiful city.
After a few hours of skating, they took a break.
"I can't believe you're leaving tomorrow, time went by so fast" he started the conversation.
"I don't either. But I've got to admit that this was the best summer I've ever had" she smiled at him.
"For me too. I'll miss you so much" he said with a small whining voice.
"I'll miss you too but I promise that I will call you every day."
"Good" he started smiling too now. They stared into each other's eyes for a while, they never stopped smiling. "I love you, Ámbar."
She was caught by surprise, he never said it before and now he says it the day before she's supposed to leave. She got it together enough to say: "I love you too, Simón."
That's when they both leaned in for a kiss, it was a deep, passionate kiss. They put their all into it, like it was the last time they would ever kiss (it wasn't).
Everyone gathered in Sharon's mansion, saying goodbye to Ámbar. She can't believe that everyone is friends with her now, after everything she did to them. But ever since she became a couple with Simón. She'd changed, she was nicer. That's what made Luna forgive her. She really is one of the nicest people she knows.
"It's time to go, Ámbar" Rey said when she walked down the stairs.
"Okay, I'll be there in just a second. I just need to say goodbye to my friends first." Rey walked to the car with an annoyed face. She smiled at his reaction.
She turned around to look at the people standing in her living room.
"I'll miss you all so much, guys. I hope we stay in touch" she said, tears in her eyes. She was sad to leave her friends, her family for at least a year. She was determined to go back home for next year's summer break. That was the soonest she would be able to go home. She had to stay there during Christmas break and spring break.
"We'll miss you too, but we'll call you whenever we can. That's a promise" Luna said with a big smile on her face.
"Thank you" Ámbar walked over to Simón, giving him a hug.
"I'll visit you as soon as possible, okay?" he said, he also had tears in his eyes. He didn't want her to go but he knew that this was her dream. He didn't want to get in the way of that.
"Don't make wait too long" she said, her voice cracked. She took his face in her hands: "I love you and I promise that I will not forget you" she was no longer fighting the tears and she let them roll down her cheeks.
"The same goes for me" he started crying as well. They shared their last kiss before she had to leave to go to the airport.
"Do you want to come with me to the airport?" she asked.
"Of course" they left with his arm around her shoulder, they were both crying. They couldn't believe that this day finally came. It was hard for both of them. They will miss each other so much.
At the airport, they gave each other another kiss. Exchanged 'I love you' one last time before she went on the plane.
"I'll see you soon" he said, ensuring her that they won't be apart for long.
"Okay" she was called to go on the plane because it would leave in a few minutes. They hugged for as long as they could and then she left, disappeared into the gate that leads to her plane. He looked at her until he couldn't see her anymore. Tears constantly running down his face. He wanted to be alone for the rest of the day.
Summer break finally arrived, she was coming back. He was very excited about this. They talked whenever they could and he visited her a couple of times. He never thought it was enough, it was a limited time they got to see each other and heard each other. Now he gets to be with all summer long, enough time to do what they wanted. He didn't want to think about the fact that she would be going back soon.
He was waiting for her at the airport, he bought her favorite flowers. He planned yet another romantic date right after seeing each other again. He was just too happy to see her back.
He was getting impatient, the plane was running late. He couldn't wait any longer, he really wanted to see her and kiss her for as long as their breathing allows it.
When it was finally announced that the plane from Paris landed, he went to the gate and looked if he could find her, they were already a lot of people coming from the plane. She was the last one to walk out of the gate. When he spotted her, he started running towards her, waving. He hoped that she would see him. He looked a little ridiculous doing this. He didn't care.
When she finally noticed him, they were both smiling like fools. They ran towards each other, excited to finally see each other after a long time of being apart. When they were close enough, they hugged each other tightly. They shared a kiss after that, it was a long one. They were both happy to be able to do this again. He knew that there would be a lot of making out this afternoon, he was okay with that. He didn't want anything but to spend time with her all summer. What he didn't know was that they had more than just the summer, they had the rest of the year and much more time if they wanted.
