Our Dear Mother Nature

You take away from us without glancing twice, within instances reminding us that everything we have, we don't have.
It's not pessimistic, really, it's just realistic.
Overall, we are in your territory.
We live, breath and reproduce on you as well as we pollute, slaughter and cut down pieces of you up into smaller ones but you have no right to treat us this way.

We have no right to treat you in such a way either.
Still, you have massacred and tore families apart, leaving us broken and hopeless with your constant storms, hurricanes, fires, and earthquakes.

It's ironic though.
Here I stand complaining about human beings dying when you are probably complaining about us killing you piece by piece, extinguishing your plants and animals until you fade away and we move on to the next planet.
What can I say, it's in our nature.

I can't help but begin to ponder, will our human nature be the fault of your death?
Will we have your blood on our hands? If it is indeed our fault, will you ever be able to forgive us?
Will we leave you in parts and not glance twice at it as you crumble to dust or save you out of our love and hate for you?
If we do some of us indeed do anything in our power to help.
But some of us will act like we care and won't lift a single finger to help.
