Author's Note:

Hey readers! I'm back!!! Since it's Mother's Day, I wanted to post like I said three chapters from last time. I thought today would be perfect for it.

Sorry for the long wait! Hope you'll enjoy these three chapters!!!

By the way, do you people know a catchphrase for this book? I don't know. I know I'm an amateur and I have high hopes so yeah. ( Like "One step changes everything"? <- this is already a catchphrase in real life and I don't want to use it. )

Don't hesitate to comment!

Sorry for a long A/N!

Enjoy

Chapter 7

After all the commotion, Gabe finally calmed down and that "someone" already left.

I walked out of the dorm a bit hoping to refresh myself and my thoughts with some fresh air.

Someone bumped into me while I was walking and said, "Hey what's your problem!?!"

"Sorry. But seriously? 'What's my problem?' is the best thing you can throw at me? Who are you to say that to me? You're not the boss of me," I said after he shouted in my face.

I was tired and stressed and even a single noise could flare me up right now. All the more a shout in my face.

"You're gonna get it!" he said as he threw a punch to my shoulder.

My knees bucked and I fell on the ground, my free hand on that wounded shoulder. I screamed in pain as I struggled to get back up.

"So you're a weak one," he said as he laughed in disgust at my pain streaked face.

I kicked the area behind his knees. He did a 1/4 back flip and hit his head on the wall.

"Who's the weak one now? Don't worry. I'm just getting started," I said.

I got up and ran towards him and started kicking his stomach so hard that he was desperately clutching it and his hands turned beet red. He was also yelling for help.

He made me so mad that I kept punching him hard in the face even though my knuckles were bleeding. He kneed my stomach and I fell on the ground and curled up like a semicircle. He started punching my face and I covered it with my hands. I could feel blood literally rushing to my face.

Miraculously, some people came rushing over and were pulling us apart from each other. He was trying to still get back at me but their grip was too strong that he couldn't move. He was restrained.

People were dragging me to my dorm and they told me that I would have to stay in there like a prison until they would call me out. As they were dragging me, I thought about how extreme my attitude has changed. From me being a shy, quiet, and follow-my-uncle-or-else girl, I became a fighting, brave, and bearing girl.

They pushed me into the room and I fell on the floor, my muscles hurting everywhere. I felt stinging pain everywhere. I also felt or sensed Austin and Gabe's eyes on me.

"Woah. What happened?" they asked in unison.

"Fight," I said.

I got up and I went to the bathroom. I locked the bathroom door and I checked the mirror. I had a black eye, bruised and cut face and cuts and bruises on my arms and legs. I remembered what Zeke told me and I got an injection and injected it into my shoulder.

I fell on the floor and I had to clasp my shoulder hard. It really did make my shoulder numb. It only hurt so much. As I fell on the floor, I heard the empty injection fall on the floor and that was the last echo I heard before I fell asleep while leaning on the door.

I woke up - maybe a few hours later - with a jolt. Someone knocked hard and loud.

I unlocked the door and looked out, rubbing my eyes with my curled fists.

"Wha-" I said.

Before I even finished what I was saying, Austin grabbed my hand and dragged me under the bed with him and Gabe.

"What's going on?" I said in the most quiet whisper I could say.

"Some prisoners escaped and are on a rampage in here. One of them's here," Gabe said.

"Thanks. How about the others?"

"They're all gone," Austin said.

I felt a hand going under the bed so I moved left and squished the boys. The hand moved away from under the bed and I thought we were safe until Gabe sneezed.

The time I arrived under the bed, Gabe was about to sneeze but good it was a false alarm. Now it's real. Austin was supposed to cover his ( Gabe's ) mouth but he was too late.

One of the prisoners checked under the bed and saw us. He looked vaguely familiar though. He signaled to his accomplices and they picked us up. More like they all looked familiar. We were struggling to get out but their grip was to strong.

"Austin! Gabe!"

"Charlotte! Austin!"

"Gabe! Charlotte!"

These screams were the only ones that filled the room.

I realized at that moment that the guy who saw us was the guy I beat up. Then all the pieces fit together. They, the prisoners, finally escaped from their cell. As they got out, one of them bumped into me. He thought I was going to report him so he thought he could get rid of me by trying to beat me up. He failed and he knew he couldn't go on. So somehow, his accomplices, pretending to be people within the camp stopped our fight. They told me to go to my room where the others are so they could smoothly get away. Unfortunately, we had something they wanted. I don't know yet.....

Gabe reached in his back pocket and took out a gun. He then fired at the guy who was holding him's foot and that guy let go. Gabe ran with the gun but "that" guy also had a gun and shot Gabe. Just like Amy and Cody and Kate, he died.

The ambience in the room suddenly turned to desperate.

I bit the guy's hand who was holding me and he let go. I ran and ran but he shot my shoulder ( the one that was already wounded ).

I screamed at the pain and collapsed.

"Charlotte!" Austin shouted.

I faced Austin and said very weakly with my hand stretched out, "Austin."

"Let me go!" he said.

The guy who was holding me before walked up to me and grabbed my hand and dragged me up to my feet.

I screamed in agony of the pain of being dragged my a shot shoulder.

Suddenly,..........
