Author's Note:

This is the first out of ten chapters I owe you. Expect some drama! (Well, it depends on your scale of drama)

P.S. I don't mean to be pushy but after reading this, why don't you tell me what you think! Thanks! That's only if you want to!

Chapter 10:

I woke up, my shoulder still painful, and stretched a bit. I felt lazy to get up but I did anyways. I took a shower and changed into the same clothes I wore since I came here. Afterwards, I decided to wander around a bit. After all, he said he would tour me. I was just waiting for him.

I made sure to bring a notebook and some pencils and erasers with me to make a map - in case I get lost. I started to sketch the bedroom. I must say, I wasn't much of an artist but it didn't really need to look nice.

I went out and wandered around, taking note of every door, hallway, and possibly, a secret passage way. After all, he is a runaway too.

As soon as I turned left, I saw a garden with a fountain - and I took note of it immediately.

So that was what he was taking about.

I felt the water and it was cold. It felt good against my skin. I knew I shouldn't believe in wishes but I just tossed a coin and made a wish, my eyes closed.

"I knew you'd be here," says Damien.

That shocks the life out of me and makes me drop my notebook into the fountain.

"Hey," I say.

"Hey. Sorry," he says as he helps me.

Okay. Now he's really got to be sick.

"Why do you look so surprised?"

"Nothing."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Well, before we start with the tour, why don't we stay out here for a while?"

"Well, you're the owner of this house. It's your choice."

"Okay."

Then there's this silence. This good and pleasing silence.

"You know," he says out of the blue," I used to steal some coins from this fountain right here. My mom and dad's guests had kids and they did just what you did. After they would leave, I would steal the coins," he said, laughing at the memory.

"What would you do with them then?" I asked, surprised by even my own words.

"So you talk. Just kidding, just kidding. I would keep them in a jar and you know, to use for emergency cases. I used to do that too you know."

"Okay."

"Shall we?" he said reaching out his hand.

"We shall," I said taking it and smiling for what I think was the first time in my life. It felt good and at the same time weird.
