Dareus woke from her unconsciousness the next day to see her best friend Anais by her side.

Actually showed up for Thanksgiving. Dareus covered her bruises with makeup and tucked the pain she had inside away from them. She wanted them to believe she was healthy and genuinely happy with life. Anais was right by her side through it all.
Dareus parents stayed home for a week till they both had to get back to work, they'd miss the money too much. Of course before they left they gave Dareus $50,000 for the holidays and keeping up such great work in school and at home.
With Anais in town Dareus ignored all of Maurice and Liam messages. Maurice kept apologizing for his faults and told her he loved her. She decided not press charges against him she lied to the police and told them she got jumped in the gym and couldn't see their faces so they let the case go.
Liam just wanted to see her, he had gotten too attached and was losing his mind without her. He sent gifts everyday to her home. MK purses with matching wallets, Mk watches, VS lingerie, flowers you name it but she just put it all in the corner in her room not bothering it.
Dareus was in a good head space. Her best friend was there and everything was going great. Her trip to Dominican Republic was about to be lit! She was glad she had someone to go with they were bout to live it up in a week.
