"Miss it's almost eight thirty." I felt someone shaking my arm and woke up with Marisa's face in mine.
"What time is it?" I asked sleepily my eyelids felt like bricks.
"Eight twenty six going on eight twenty seven." Marisa looked at her wrist watch. I moaned and covered my face with my pillow.
"Five more minutes."
"Come on now this is not how a princess acts!" Marisa's voice was replaced by my edict tutor June. June was the do it my way or don't do it at all type also known as a drill Sargent.
"I won't eat then I need to lose weight right?" I knew my weight was fine but any excuse would do right now.
"Nonsense get up it's... My word it's eight thirty!" June ripped back my curtains striped my bed of all it's bedding and pulled me out if bed. With in a madder of seconds she had three maids combing my blonde hair and trying to hide the bags under my eyes.
"Hurry ladies she needs to be downstairs in five minutes." June clapped her hands as if she was making them go faster. Even as I walked out of my room the maids were combing and applying random products to my face. They stopped just as we reached the grand stair case they ran away like little mice. June pulled on her navy suit jacket and matching pencil skirt. She smoothed out my own nightgown which looked just like a normal dress and took the lead down the steps.
"Princess Lacey over here! How do you feel about Prince Timothy's coronation?" A random female reporter asked me.
"Do you think he's king material?" Another asked.
"Are you jealous at all about the Princes status and fame?" The reporters swarmed around me like files.
"My brother is one of the best people I know and I have a deep respect for him. I am honored to be his sister and his most trusted friend." I gave them a princess smile as June called it and a cute wave. I walked into the dining hall glad to be away from the flashing lights and nosy reporters.
"Why are you late darling?" My mother asked not looking up from her paperwork.
"Reporters." I grabbed a muffin off a near by tray.
"They asked me the strangest questions!" Mallory rolled her blue eyes which I admired deeply.
"They're reporters honey they get paid to ask you weird questions." Mother hid behind one of her letters from the other royals.
"Lacey, honey I have great news!" Mother dropped her letter and squealed with excitement.
"Yes mother?" I hid my muffin behind my back we weren't to eat until the whole family was at the table and Amelia wasn't down yet.
"The duke and duchess excepted!"
"The who?"
"Duke Hanser and his wife excepted for you to meet Bradley!" Her smile stayed tattooed on her face.
"Why must I meet Bradley Hanser?"
"Because all the actual royal families have girls or very young boys. I don't think you want to marry Lucas Van Hall do you?" Mallory and Marlee giggled together Mother put a paper in front of her face again.
"Marriage!" I almost threw up thinking I was to marry Bradley sure he was nice but he wasn't Ryan.
"Well what did you think this conversation was about?"
"A simple date or something not marriage!"
"Lacey don't shout we'll talk later since you seem so angry about this."
"Good morning Mother, Marlee, Mallory,Timothy, Lacey, Tuker and of corse dear little Sunny" Beamed Amelia. She took a seat beside me and looked up at me.
"Lacey did you hear the old guard in training is head guard for Timothy's coronation. Isn't he your age?" Amelia gave me a proud smile. Of corse I knew that Ryan was going to be head guard he told me last night.
"Why um I guess I never noticed him, his name's Brain r-r-right." I felt my face heat up Amelia looked at me like I was sick.
"No it's Ryan and why are you blushing?" Amelia continued to stare I could see Marlee and Mallory giggling while Mother hid behind her papers.
"Must you ask so many questions Amelia now eat your breakfast." I felt bad for snapping at Amelia but my cheeks felt like they were on fire. I grew guilty from Amelia's sad little face but she bounced back pretty fast though.
"Miss Amelia what would you like for breakfast."
I walked out of the dinning hall as soon as I could. I turned the corner happy that the reporters were setting up outside and enjoyed the peace.
My eyes met with a pair of lovely blue ones.
"Hey there gorgeous." Ryan embraced me in his arms and gave me a kiss my heart fluttered.
"Ryan the dinning hall right there. My whole family is right there." Ryan laughed and opened a door that lead into a random sitting room. He locked it behind us. Ryan scoped me up in his strong arms and laid me down on one of the couch.
"Ryan." I laughed trying keep my voice down.
"God I missed you." Ryan leaned in for another kiss.
"It's only been... Five hours."
"You make that sound like it hasn't been that long." Ryan flashed a prefect smile at me.
"You got me in trouble this morning." Ryan moved a stray hair behind my ear.
"Sorry what'd I do now."
"Left this in my bed." Ryan held a sliver earring in front of me. I felt my ears and sure enough my left ear was bare.
"I didn't even notice it was missing."
"Allow me madam." He continued to smile and put the earring in my ear.
"There those make you even more beautiful if that's even possible." He winked and I blushed. Again he kissed me this time it lasted longer I never wanted it to stop but I had to get ready.
