I fluttered my eyes open, only to squint as the sun began to bleed through the closed blinds to my left. I slowly look around and found a digital clock just near the TV, still left on from last night. It was 7:36 am. I look over at Dean. He was still fast asleep. I smiled, realizing how much I actually love that guy. I leaning further into the pillow, which isn't that soft may I add. I decided to turn off the TV, not that it was making much noise. I was listening to the hospital. Sounds of footsteps and chatter filled the building. I closed my eyes again. An image began to play in my head. The front of the semi hitting the car. Dean laying on the ground, unconscious. I jolted upright. It was a living nightmare. I looked over at Dean's room again. He was still sleepibg but there was this guy next to him. I just stared, trying to figure out who he was. He wasn't wearing scrubs or a uniform. He was wearing a leather jacket, jeans with oil stains, and a pair of dark leather boots. His hair was dark and rugged. I didn't know who he was.

He was sitting besides him, holding his hand, rubbing it with his thumb. His head was tilted down and his shoulders began to move slowly. Was he crying?

"Oh you're awake!" a nurse blocked the doorway and my view of the stranger. "How did you sleep?"

I nodded. "Just fine. Thank you!" She walked over to me, holding a tray.

"I have your breakfast. There's a food hall on the 5th floor but I figured you could use your rest so I brought you some food."

I was starving. I gladly accepted the tray and began to gobble down on the food as soon as the nurse left. There was toast and butter, scrambled eggs, a banana, and a granola bar. Nothing fit for a king but food is food when you're hungry. I quickly ate my breakfast and placed the tray at the bottom of my bed. I glance over in Dean's room to find him awake.

The slight if his eyes open made me smiled. I sat straight up to look at my love. He was sitting straight up, attached to an IV, talking to a doctor. I couldn't hear what they were saying. I just see Dean nod his head and mouth a few words I couldn't understand.

After a few minutes the doctor got up and left the room. Dean followed his every step, watching him leave. His direction was at the door, then his eyes met up with mine. He slowly formed a grin and I soon followed.

I was given permission to get up, as long as I brought my IV thingy with me. So I moved the tray to the table next to me, making sure it doesn't fall as I stand up. I moved my feet on the cold hard floor, making my way to Dean. I had one hand on the metal pole, bringing fluids with me, and my other hand hung loose besides me.

His eyes followed me, not breaking eye contact. Everything else going on around me disappeared. He was the only thing important in my life. He was the one that makes me the happiest.

I soon entered his room. There was a familiar warmth that surrounded him. It made me feel at home.

"How are you?" I sat down besides him on the bed, placing my medicine bag close.

He nodded slowly. "Could be better."

I grabbed his hand and gripped it softly. "I'm glad you're alright, Dean. I was really worried."

He gave me a weak smile and looked down.

"Everything is alright.... Right?"

He nodded again. His silence seemed like he wanted to drop the subject so I changed it.

"How long ago did you wake up?"

"Just a few minutes ago, actually." he gripped my hand back. "I could really go for some pie, though."

I smiled. "The nurses gave me permission to walk around. I'll go to the cafeteria to see if they have any." Dean's eyes met mine, with a warm smile he nodded his head.
