"Dinner's ready!" I call out from the kitchen. I stirred the soup as steam emitted from its broth, warming my face. I took one last inhale before taking the pot off of the stove top burner. I placed it off to the side on another burner as I reached for two bowls. I hear soft taps hit the floor. They get louder and louder until I finally look down. There sat a dog. A growing German Sheppard. I wasn't scared. My instincts was telling me to just pet him. So I gave him a few strokes before turning away. I didn't know the dog's name I just knew he was family. I then hear Dean's footsteps. They got louder until they stopped. I felt arms wrap around my waist then a few kisses were planted on my neck.

"Smells delicious." he continued to kiss. I smiled and grabbed one of his hands and started to stir the soup with the other before pouring a serving each into our bowls.

"Thank you." I leaned my head against his. I then looked at him to kiss his lips. I stopped in horror. He was bald and had a tube coming from his nose and he was as pale as a ghost. "Dean?!"

Dean let go. He didn't look concerned or anything. "Didn't you forget?"

"Forget? Forget what, Dean?"

"I lost." his expression remained the same.

"Lost?"

Dean began to get further away from me. Pieces of his body began to fade in little bits.

"I lost my battle. I wasn't strong enough but.... Be strong for me."

"NO! DEAN WAIT!" I tried to run towards him but my feet just stayed where they were. I reached out as Dean began to fade quicker. "DEAN!" I saw a bright light emerge as Dean went away.

I shot up in a cold sweat. These dreams are getting worse and worse. My breathing must have startled the nurses because one soon shot into the room.

"Mr. Novak? Are you ok?"

I look down at my feet, then at her. I was back in my hospital bed but my IV was gone.

"Yeah." I shook my head. "Yeah. I'm fine."

She opened her mouth to say something but quickly stopped before anything came out. She then hesitated before leaving. "If you need anything don't hesitate to ask."

I nodded. "Thank you." and then she left. I glance into Dean's room. His door was closed. I then decided to investigate. I slipped on the slippers and headed over. I stopped in front of the door. I held up my closed fist to knock, but then hesitated. Something then forced me to knock.

I few seconds passed before I heard the door handle click. I do it greeted me with a smile. Once he actually realized who I was however.

"Ah. Mr. Novak!" he opened the door all the way. "I'm the chemotherapist." I slowly reached for his hand for shake it as the words bounced around in my brain, hitting every corner and every wall. Chemotherapy. I was lead into the room by the doctor and had a seat besides Dean, who had a blank expression plastered on his face. I tried to read what he was thinking but my mind was boggled with my own thoughts.

"My name is Dr. Lafitte. I'll be working with Dean through his journey in defeating his cancer." he pauses and sits straight up and brings his right leg over the top of his left and places his clipboard on top. He began to scribble what I only imagined was Dean's name.

He began asking Dean questions.

" So Dean, did you experience any pain before the discovery?"

"Uh. No no. Other than stiff muscles and aching backs, no pain in my lungs or coughs. No nothin."

The doctor began to scribble once more.

"Dean, would you allow Castel to apart of these next questions?"

"Yea. He's allowed to hear whatever you're gonna tell me."

"Alright. Are you two sexually active?"

I grew bright red. "Yes. We are."

"Do you know if any of you two have sexually transmitted diseases?"

"No." I look over at Dean. I knew I was clean. I was a virgin before meeting Dean. But for Dean... He's hooked up with many women. I guess I never really asked if he was clean. But he wouldn't lie to a doctor right? Especially in front of me? Right?? I brushed it off waiting for the doctors next question.

"This may be a grim topic, Mr. Winchester... But because your cancer is so far along... If you were to pass, we need your burial wishes and if you can your will."

I opened my mouth to protest but nothing came out. How dare he. Dean will live. There's no reason.... No reason for a will.... Or... Or a burial. Right..? Dean will be ok. He'll come home with me. We'll live together. Happy and healthy. Just like before.

Dean mustve saw my expression because I soon felt his hand on my should and squeezed it as if he were saying "it'll be OK, Cas. You and me against the world" but his voice remained silent.

"I'll give you some time to think about that, though." the doctor began to stand up and straightened out his uniform and sighed. Must be a super tough job.... "I'll put this information in and update everything and then we'll talk about chemo." Then he turned on his heels and left us alone.

I turned my head to face Dean. His expression was lifeless. His wrinkles bore into his face in a way that made the sun unhappy. He was dying.

_-_ Sorry for such a short chapter but I had to get something out haha. I'll try to update more but life is playing against me. Thank you all for the support. It truly means everything to me! Thanks loves! _-_
