"So... where are we going?"
'I'm going to show you my favorite place in the whole world. Commoner, get ready to meet my kingdom!' He said, while holding me. I was blindfolded, so I tried my best not to trip.
Well, I didn't need a blindfold to trip. Even when my eyes were wide open I tripped. In the meantime, June sort of described the location we were going to visit. Based on what he said, we are going to explore the cave June found when he was a child, as know as his kingdom. He had been visiting this cave since he was a little kid, he mentioned the first time he found this was when he got lost. And by then, he never stopped visiting it whenever he could. He was so proud he found it out first than anyone, he believes no one has found out his cave.
When we got there, he took off me the blindfold. And I couldn't believe it. Is this what he calls a paradise, for real? A true masterpiece was hidden from humans eyes. The entrance was like a door to a paradise. The heaven perhaps. It if existed, I'm sure I would not have the chance to visit it. With all the things I've done, that's what I'm talking about. I'm sure my presence there would a no-no.
If the entrance was beautiful, then the inside was magnificent. The cave had an opening so the crystal clear turquoise water moved freely in it, like a pool. The sharp ends of the rocks shone like they were diamonds, almost blinding me. I don't know where did he found that place, but I wanted to be the last person he brought here.
"So, tell me the story." I asked him with a knowing smile. I was glad that on my 'almost' last day I could hear a part of his past.
How ironic, this would be a part of my past as well.
'It's not as amazing as I make it sound, so my parents brought me here to swim. It was summer season and the weather was really good for this month. I swam, I ran around, played with my parents and kids I found here. Hours passed, and my parents went to the car to fix it, turns out something was wrong, so we had to stay there for the night. Up until now, everything's okay. But sky became darker, and darker, and I lost my direction. Instead of crying, I explored around until I found the right path to my parents. I was so engrossed on finding the damn path, so I didn't notice the still warm water that was almost on my knees.'"I feel like I know what's going to be afterwards." I nodded and he smiled.
'Bingo. I found the cave. My feet were all injured from the sharp rocks, but this place was warm and cold enough for my five year old self to sleep. Year after year, I visited more. Of course, I hadn't brought anyone with me, am I crazy? They could sell photos of it and have tourists come here all the time. Nope, I ain't gonna do that.' He stopped a bit and then he became pale.
'And I'm crazy, indeed. I brought you here, and you are a tourist. Please make sure no one else knows about this!' He said and I immediately laughed. I shook my head. Even if I did mention it to someone like a visitor or a local, they would respond that they know it. After twenty three years this deserves recognition.
We explored a bit more around, and it was so peaceful, so serene. The sound of the water splashing against the rocks made me feel secured. June's hand that was holding mine also made me feel great. I knew this would be one of the kind moment, I wish I could pause and stay here forever.
He was there all the time, by my side. Hours and hours passed until we fell asleep on the rocks, tired of the exploring, with waves being our guest and singing us a lullaby. Before I sleep, I made a statement in my mind. It was late, so we had to sleep, but never to late to make such a confession. I thanked my teacher, I thanked her for giving me ten days to feel emotions, to meet new people, and meet someone to care for me during my stay. I know, this man I met isn't real. He is absolutely the person every girl wants. A prince. A man that was brought up with ideals and thoughts every man would be jealous of. A man that gave life to my dead soul. A man that cares about everyone without return. I didn't want to go to sleep. That man was in front of me, and I was forced to leave him in less than twenty four hours.
What if I stayed here? What if I abide her rules?
There's no way I could, I had thought about it and teacher stopped me from staying.
If I stayed, I would have been so happy. But I had to go back to reality.
Reality is the last thing I need right now. With this being my last thought, I drift to dreamland.
I was in the same room I was last time with my teacher. But now, all of the mirrors were broken.
