My eyes instantly widen as my mouth drops open. Did he really just ask me to prom? He did! I blink and close my mouth, "um.. Wow Devin I didn't think you'd ask me.." I giggle nervously. Of course I use to have a crush on him! He's cute and I've been around him for a really long time, but that crush has been far gone. Heck, maybe I could go with him, nobody else will ask.
He chuckles, "yeah I really didn't think I'd ask either... I mean cause you're smoking hot, not because I wasn't sure I wanted to ask you or anything. Because I'm sure, I was just shy and..," he groans and scratches his head, "this isn't going very well..."
I smile at him and put my hand on top of his, "yes, I'll go to prom with you Devin."
His face lights up, "really?"
"Yes," I giggle.
"YES!" He jumps up. "I'll pick you up tonight for a date. 6 o'clock, your place." He grins and walks away.

It's almost 5 p.m so I decide to start getting ready for my date with Devin. Smile Dog follows me around as I pace through my room trying to find what I need. One time I tripped over him accidentally and landed on my face. I giggle and pet his head as he licks my face as an apology. "It's okay Smile, I didn't see you there."
He barks in response and helps me back up. It takes me half an hour to shower, fix up my hair, put on make up and all that good stuff. I look at myself in the mirror and sigh, done.
My bangs are pulled back by pearl hairpins that match the pearl necklace and bracelet set hanging around my neck and around my wrists. A tight fit forming black dress fits around my curves and stops right above the knee, neckline dips down into a low V. Black eye shadow with dark purple rimming my eyes brings out the light color of my emerald eyes. I smile at the reflection and walk out of the room and put on some black flats.
"What do you think?" I ask Smile and do a 360 turn for him, getting a bark and tail wagging in response. I giggle and pet his head then head down the stairs to see Jeff sitting on the couch watching TV. My eyes roll at the sight of him, if he is going to be at my place 24/7 the LEAST he could do is shower so he doesn't stink up the place. "Ey, slime ball. I'm going out on a date. Go take a shower while I'm gone."
"Pfft. I'm not a s-" his eyes turn from the TV and to me. His mouth opens at the sight of me. "slmmdnn... bllnsemm..." He mumbles.
I laugh, "English Jeff, English please."
He clears his throat and shifts his gaze to my eyes, "huh?"
"Such a guy.." I walk over and flick his head.
"Ouch!" He puts his hand on his forehead and frowns at me.
"Go take a shower."
"I don't wanna." He mumbles.
"Jeff I'm going you flick you again." I threaten.
"Oooohh, I'm so sca-" I cut him off by flicking him again. "Ow! Stop that!" He growls.
"Smile!!!!"
Smile Dog comes running down the steps and slides to a stop next to me.
"Go take Jeff to the shower."
Jeff's eyes widen, "oh no you didn't just-" he gets cut off again by getting grabbed by the hood and pulled off the couch and toward the stairs. He yells and thrashes against the dog's grip. "Hey! Let me go damnit! I swear if you rip my hoodie I'll skin you mutt!" He continues threatening the husky as he gets dragged up the stairs.
I laugh to myself and walk over to the door when I hear a knock. I open the door to see Devin in a dress shirt and pants. His eyes widen at my appearance and I resist rolling my eyes. I swear, he and Jeff would be best friends. I smile at him, "hey Devin. Ready to go?"
"You bet," he grins and leads me out to his car.
