I ignore the fact that I may have hurt his precious player feelings. He ruined any sympathy he would have gotten by flirting at the end. How dare he? How dare he call me "babe?"
I walk on over to Study Hall, but I am stopped suddenly in the hallway, by a tall, overly excessive, practical clown. Who uses that much makeup. Apparently this fake of a woman. She grabs me by the arm and pulls me close. A vicious snarl on her lips, looking like she is ready to attack. She scratches my face with her perfectly manicured hands, deep enough, as it draws blood. What the fuck is her problem.
"Why is my man talking to some washed up lowlife like you?" She growls.
I am pretty sure he is not her man, as its obvious he goes for girl to girl. I honestly WISH his attention was not on me, and on this preppy asswipe. Her nails dig deeper causing me to flinch. Damn it hurts.
"Your nothing compared to me." She grabs my jaw so I can look at her. All I see is a rich, asshole who sleeps with the teacher to get up her grades. I did not mean to cry but eventually tears streamed down my face. "Your just a side project, and I will be his girlfriend."
"I'm the side project? You hooked up with him once and he left you in the dust." Why am I even arguing? Its not like I care. She smacks me hard. I back up and hit a locker. It seems as if she is going to slap me again but a tall figure grabs her hand before she can. I make eye contact with my savior and I know who it is.
"Michael!" I hug my older brother tightly as a cry a little on his shoulder. He rubs my back soothingly as I let it out. He touches my face and sees a swelled up cheek and two nail marks covered blood. There is also a large bump on my head from where she pushed me into the locker.
"You hurt my sister?" He says in a deep monotone I-am-gonna-kill-you voice. The girl swats his hand away and backs up obviously retreating. She gives me one last glare and walks out.
I dry my eyes as my brother loosens his grip on me, worry prominent in his eyes.
"Are you alright Ken?" I give him a weak smile, thats obviously forced out. He has a sad look in his eyes until he focuses on my injuries. "I am going to kill that skanky bitch." He mutters.
I look at him. "Its not worth it." She was right. My dad disregard me, I have no true friends and all I do is mess shit up. He widens his eyes to my sudden gloom, and whispers in my ears over and over how I am worth it, like he is trying to convince himself instead of me, thinking I will do something. after are little pity party, we walk hand in hand to the nurse. I am honestly closer to my brother than anyone else in my family. Knowing he will protect me from all the jealous bitches makes me feel one hundred times better.
He leaves me at the nurse with a parting look and a final message. "Your worth it. No guy is good enough. No bully has the right. I will always be there." Tears well up in my eyes as he leaves and from the corner of my vision I see him. Travis. Looking at me pissed. He spots the bully and stops her in her tracks. I can't hear them from here but I see the girl walking away teary eyed and Travis smiles at me. Not a smirk, a smile and stalks away.
