Chapter 2: The Party

With Gwen all over me, it's harder to get ready than usual. She was in her red, sparkly cocktail dress that complemented her long legs and curves.
She was trying to get me in a dress aimed to come off, if you catch my meaning, showing WAY too much skin. I've never been to a party like this, so when I look at my long black dress, I have no clue if it's appropriate.

I can't do this.

I put on my shoes to tie my outfit together and step out of the bathroom to show Gwen.

I can't do this.

She eyes me all over and I start to feel self conscious of what I am wearing. The heat rushes to my face as I look away from her. Is this really happening? I am going to a party at the most popular place on campus. I still have homework and classes early tomorrow. What the hell did I get into?
I suddenly realize I am panicking and it's obvious Gwen noticed too. She finishes eyeballing me.

"You look great!" I look ridiculous.

" Are you ready to leave?" Nope.

I force myself to smile and say yes and we are out the door. I don't know why I am trying to talk myself out of it. I just have to suck it up for one night. One. I'll be okay. Suddenly, feeling more confident, I make my way to Travis' dorm.

I find myself at the front door and they have an actual fricken bouncer at a high school party.
"Name."
He said it so nonchalantly, it was obvious he's been doing this all night.
"Kenya Miller and my plus one Gwen." I replied as sweetly as possible.

He opens up the door and ushers me inside.

I look inside and immediately I spot 2 things.
A table full of alcohol and cigarettes in a bucket.
This is what they do at high school parties?
I observe my surroundings once more and my breath catches in my throat.
I see him.
