"Shit. Kenya!" I droop in his arms.

That is the last thing I hear before I slip into darkness.

-------------------------

I am in and out the rest of the night. Most the time my head is to heavy to even move and I end up falling asleep again. In and out.

In and out.

--

The next morning I wake up stuffy, with a god awful headache. I feel my forehead and sure enough, its practically boiling. I try to sit up, but with my god awful luck, the more I move the dizzier I get. Basically what happened was I fell. Off the bed. Like a goddamn idiot.

Thunk.

Pain crawls up my back, as I groan loud enough to shake the house, and sure enough I hear someone rushing up the stairs. Travis? Maybe, its honestly fine as long as its NOT Michael.

"Kenya?" He yells, sounding slightly panicked. I groan again unable to make out words.

My head really fucking hurts.

He pops his head in the door only to see myself sprawled out against the smooth oak wood. He his quickly at my side and checks my temperature to see the fever I knew I had.

"How are you feeling?" He asks me, concern shining in his eyes.

Barely getting the words out I manage to answer. "Like...shit..."

Welp. At least it came out.

He grabs me by the arm, and then the legs to get me in a princess carry back to the bed.

"You have a nasty fever, probably because you were out in the freezing rain..." He says calmly a soothingly, while stroking my cheek. If it was suppose to comfort me it worked. "I am so sorry." He whispers. He pulls me in a tight hug as I felt myself leaving consciousness.

And it went dark.

--

The next time I wake up I hear voices. Voices yelling. About ME.

"Its all your goddamn fault! You caused her to run in the rain. You caused her to feel afraid in her own home!" I think I hear Travis. Damn it.

"I was trying to get my point across I didn't want MY sister to be sleeping with a lowlife LIKE YOU!" Michael. Definitely Michael.

"You called her a slut to her face!" Travis screams, anger leaking out of his voice.

"I tried to apologize and talk about the situation but she ran off to you! It seems I was right!"

Tears burn down my face. Hearing them fight reminds me of the fight Michael and I had. And I all I want is for it to stop. Is for everything to stop. Mom's gone, Dad hates us and now the only brother, the only one I trusted is calling me a slut for the stupidest reasons.

The voices muffle as I shuffle down the stairs to see them both red faced and breathless.

"You did this! She has been in and out of consciousness, with an awful fever all because she was in the rain trying to escape you!" Travis yells and before my brother gets the next word I finally speak up.

"STOP FIGHTING!" I boom. Hands clutching the railing as the feet threaten to make me fall. Both their heads snap to the side to look at me. I must look like a mess. Travis rushes to my side to help me stand as my brother finds his voice once again.

"Don't touch her!"  He pushes Travis to the side. I get in the way, barely standing.

"Just stop." I whisper. Barely enough for either of them to hear.

He pushes me to the side and grabs Travis by the shirt collar, and finally without thinking I speak my mind.

"How about you don't touch him! I just went to the movies with a boy and you act like this! I don't understand? Enlighten me! What gives you the RIGHT to come here and act like a dips hit when I came here to leave YOU!" At the end of my little monolog I am breathing as heavily as they were. Finally my brother does something unrecognizable. He comes in my face.

SLAP.
