ADAM'S POV:

After leaving Emma's house extremely irritated I drove around for a long time. I was so pissed off that she went to that party. And the worst part was that I didn't even know why. Okay maybe I did, I was obviously jealous of her spending time with anyone but me.

When I finally decided to come home I parked my car in the garage out back I got off my bike and started pacing back and forth. What if something happens to her and I'm not there to protect her. She's a really fragile girl. God how can she be so stupid to go to a house party when she's never been to one?! She's not going to know what to do. And that Juliette is just going to to ditch her. And what if she gets drunk? How the hell is she going to get home.

Plus not to mention all the damn weirdos that go to our school could show up. I don't want her around them.

But then it hit me. Ethan, him and Troy are really good friends. He's going to be there. Around Emma, my Emma. Fuck!

I punch the wall my fist going all the way through the concrete and to the other side.

There's no way in Hell I'm going to let him be alone with her at a party.I'm going.

After all, she did say she'd hope I change my mind.

EMMA'S POV:

I couldn't believe aunt Karen let me go. I'm not used to being given that type of freedom. My dad was always worried that something would happen to me that would cause me to shift an element, exposing myself. But I wasn't with him anymore. Although it did take some persuading, she ultimately decided that she would let me go if I had a ride there and back, and I have to take a sweater. Weird I know but that's aunt Karen for you.

I didn't know what the dress code was for a party like this.

Wow dress code. I'm so going to be out of my element.

Anyways I decided on a black cotton long sleeve dress, mid thigh. I wore black stockings, combat boots, a necklace with a locket, and a couple of bracelets. I took a look in the mirror and brushed my straightened hair. Now just a spritz or two of perfume.

There's was a honk outside indicating that Juliette was here and I quickly add some gloss and run downstairs. As I'm about to leave aunt Karen stops me.

"No no no, where do you think your going with out a sweater?" She stands in the doorway with her hands on her hips. I hear another honk outside.

"Tia please, it's not even cold." I whine.

"We had a deal. Now go get a sweater from the closet." She crosses her arms.

"Ugh fine!" I run to the closet and grab a denim sweater. "There. Now can I pleeaase go?" She smiles and steps out of the doorway.

"Emma they need me at the restaurant in Los Angeles so I won't be back until tomorrow but that doesn't mean I don't want you home no later than 12:30 okay?" I hadn't noticed that she had her purse and a small suitcase by the door. "Here's your key. Now go and have fun but be safe!" She started yelling while I ran to the car.

"Damn took you long enough. Come on let's go!" She jumped in her seat.

"Is this your car?" I say admiring the interior of the black mustang as I put my seat belt on.

"No my mom let me borrow it. Isn't that cool?" She shrieks extremely happy.

When we arrived to Troy's house we could barely find anywhere to park. I searched the cars for Adam's bike and frown when I don't see it.

We got out of the car and walked up to the house that was crawling with people from our school and then some. We walk through the front door and immediately someone hands me a red cup with God knows what.
