Wednesday morning I woke up excited to go to school and finally talk to Ethan for the first time in what felt like forever. Now that Adam agreed to stop acting like an over protective older brother. But I was a bit worried that maybe Ethan wouldn't want to talk to me after everything that has happened. Regardless I have to look my best. I walked out the front door in a floral print skater skirt with a white, sheer, graphic t shirt that I tied in the front to make it a little more stylish. I through on a studded denim vest and finished off with black combat boots.

I tossed my crutches in the back and jumped into the passenger seat of my aunts range rover.

"Okay update me." She says.

"Well life is currently better than a week ago or even a couple of days ago." I reply.

"I'm sorry hold on." She says before turning to me and clicking her now visible blue tooth in her right ear.

"Oh sorry I thought you were talking to me." I giggle.

She smiles and un-mutes her call. "You know what just email it to me. Oh and don't forget to send me the paper work for the new lease." And she hangs up.

"New lease, opening another restaurant?" I ask her.

"You bet." She smiles.

"That's awesome tia Karen. Pretty soon A Taste of Mexico will be in the entire country and then the world!" I yell throwing my hands in the air and we both laugh.

"You're so crazy. Oh and by the way please thank your friend's grandmother for helping with your leg and all those nasty bruises and cuts. I haven't met another healer since...well your mom." My smile immediately drops and she notices.

"MIja I know that you have been through a lot since your mom died years ago and you were probably hoping that moving in with me would finally be a fresh start away from family drama. I am so sorry that I haven't been there as much as I should be lately. You came here to be away from the city and to learn and control your gift and that I haven't helped you; but know that even though the restaurants keep me extremely busy. You come before all of it. I want to be a good mother figure for you I really do. And I still feel terrible about the fire." I flinch when she mentions the dread full fire. "I should have kept you safe and I didn't and I'm sorry." By the time she finishes we are both crying.

"Tia Karen I appreciate immensely everything you do for me and i understand completely that you are extremely committed to your job. I cant even imagine what its like to juggle all four (soon to be five) restaurants by your self. You give me more than enough and I love you no matter what. You are trying your best don't worry about it." As soon as we pull into the school i unbuckle my seat belt, jump out of my seat and hug her.

"I love you too. And how about i work extra hard the rest of the week so that i can take you out Saturday after your cast comes off? Would you like that?" She asks.

"Are you kidding me?! I would love that!" I yell super excited I will finally spend time with my coolest aunt. I give her a kiss on the cheek and get out of the car. I wave as she pulls away smiling.

I begin to walk towards the table were Julliette usually sits with Troy and Reagan when suddenly someone covers my eyes with their hands.

"Hey! What gives." I say before swinging one of my crutches behind me hitting someones leg.

"Ouch! You have got to stop hitting me." I hear him say. I immediately recognize that voice and turn around.

"Gavin? What the heck are you doing here?" I say crushing him in a hug. He wraps his long arms around me and leans his head on top of mine for a second.
