Is it a sin to lie to ourselves as a form of consolation?
Sometimes we want to embrace our reality, but too thick a chain holds our hands back and too heavy a past weighs down on our hearts.
When will it ever be easy to see again through the heavy curtains of pouring memories and breathe normally through the fog of a past that haunts us always and forever? When will it be possible to have the keys to our own chains?
We lie to ourselves to make ourselves happier and to make those around us more satisfied with their current unpleasant life.
We lie to save ourselves and the people we love.
It turned out that a lie is more of a virtue than a truth can ever be.
