Sometimes you go through wars
wondering what the point is
of having your soul shredded
of having to walk with blades
cutting deep in your skin
and yet you must swallow it
and I know
you don't like to hear it
but it will make sense
once you get back home
in a pang you will realise
you are never the same twice
you just keep meeting more
of yourself each time you survive
sometimes you have to be at war
in order to appreciate the peace
and you won't know what you want
until you know what you don't
