I had lived with the boys for three months, when I realized that I had never been upstairs. I knew that there were four rooms, so three of which had two boys whereas Hyunwoo had his own room. Hyungwon and Hoseok were in one room, Minhyuk and Kihyun in another, and Jooheon roomed with Changkyun. After the night with Jooheon, we started spending more free time together, even to the point of him inviting me up to hang out in his room. We would play video games or just talk about random things. During that time, I even got close to Changkyun. He was different from the other boys in the sense that he didn't care so much about sex, or didn't let on that he did. He tried to treat me like Jooheon did. I could tell that he idolized Jooheon, but I couldn't blame him for that.

But that didn't change the fact that he was so special in his own way

But that didn't change the fact that he was so special in his own way. He had a deep voice, that was almost melodic when he rapped. He had a cute face that lit up when he laughed. The boys called him Kookang (which means puppy), since he was little, with these sweet puppy dog eyes, and followed the rest of them around. I found myself using the nickname, it fit him well and he didn't mind. Changkyun and I even became close enough that we would use our fluency in English to mess around with the rest of the boys. We would giggle as we spoke incredibly fast, watching them struggle to piece together what it was we had said. Some of my favorite moments with Changkyun was whenever I played American music, especially rap, and we could do it perfectly, while also watching Jooheon stumble over his words. But in revenge, the two would do the same to me with Korean raps. We started helping each other with pronunciation, improving Jooheon's English and my Korean. Even after almost two years in Korea I was still working on perfecting the language, and being with the two helped drastically. I could hear my Korean improve each day.
