13) You're not fine

Ellie PoV:
I found an old guitar in one of the rooms and brought it to Sky. "Uhm...You mentioned that you used to play guitar before.", I said laughing shy. "Yeah, but that's ages ago. Last song I played was...uhm...Stitches by Shawn Mendes." "Wow. I couldn't even think about learning how to play a guitar. Can you play it for me?" "No way, I don't even remember how to play.", she said laughing. "Sky....pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaasssee.", I begged. She stood up and got over to me. She looked into my eyes and whispered,"Alright but just because it's you." Then she winked and took the guitar out of my hands. She turned around and sat onto a sofa. The others were in other rooms. I sat next to her. She started playing."Wow. You're so good at this.", I said astounded. She smiled and started singing the refrain,"You watch me bleed until I can't breathe, I'm shaking, falling onto my knees. And now that I'm without your kisses, I'll be needing stitches..." She had such a beautiful voice but the lyrics made me think again. I remembered:
"Hey Lilly, come on, let's dance a little bit.", I said when I was lying in her bed and she was in the bathroom. We were having a sleepover at her place. She came into her room and looked amused,"Sure, Ellie, we're going to turn on dance music at 3 a.m. and wake my whole family." "Of course we are going to do that, Sweetie. You think that I just give up on that?! I've already made up my mind." I went over to her radio and turned it on. It played the song Shape of you by Ed Sheeran. I jumped onto her bed and started to dance. She looked at me like she wanted to say 'seriously?'. I took both of her hands and pulled her onto the bed. We jumped and shook our bodies. After the song stopped, we fell down on her bed, deep breathing. Suddenly the song Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol started playing. I used to love that song. It always reminded me of her. I grabbed her hand and crossed our fingers. I looked into her beautiful eyes and said,"You have no idea how much you mean to me. I have no idea what to do if I wouldn't have you." She hugged me. Our faces were only a few inches apart. She looked into my eyes and onto my lips. I whispered,"What?", when she came closer to me and kissed me. She actually just kissed me for the first time there. Actually, it was the first time ever that I kissed another girl. My 'best friend' just kissed me. "What was that for?", I asked smiling and astounded. She just smiled and looked at me. This time it was me, who united our lips. We started to move our lips against the other ones. I turned her so I could shore my elbows next to her head. When I realized that I'm kissing my fucking best friend right now, I stopped. "D...Do you think this is right?", I spoke out my thoughts. "It's right if it feels right for you. It does feel hella right for me now." She gave me another short kiss full of emotions. Then I turned away and got up. "I have to use the bathroom." I locked myself in the small room and leaned against the door. I slided down so I sat on the floor. I never had feelings for a girl ever before. But why did it just feel so right when I kissed her? Damn, am I into girls or just confused right now?! I didn't understand at this time.
Well, now I'm pretty sure that I'm into girls or at least bisexual. But I don't think it's necessary to run around and tell everyone. In fact, the only person who ever knew it was Lilly. Maybe I'll tell Joel about it someday, if he hasn't figured it out himself yet.
"And now she's just gone. I'm never going to see her again.", I thought. I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I didn't notice that I started crying and that Sky had put her arm around my shoulders. I just starred at my hands. "Ellie, what's wrong?" "What? No nothing, I'm fine.", I said confused and wiped my tears away. "You're not fine, Ellie. I can tell. You know you can talk to me, right?", she said caring. "I'm fine, really. Everything's alright.", I repeated with a sad smile,"I really love your guitar skills. And you're also a great singer." "Thanks Ellie.", she said and hugged me. I replied her hug when Nathan came into the room with the words,"Damn girls, lesbian soft porn or what?!" Sky and I blushed instantly and she turned away.
