23. Party

Jane POV

"Gosh! Im so nervous!" I exclaimed.

"Miss dont worry, even though the whole mansion is packed with dancing drunk people which you invited because you want to have a party and not a social party doesnt mean that your parents are going to scold you... even if theyll be here in 2 hours" pablo smiled.

"Youre so not helping!" I dashed out.

The whole place is a crowded and a mess, its so uncool if I rely on our housemaids to do everything.

"You got to face it Jane, Youre screwed" i said to myself.

Why are they comming home all of a sudden?
Its not like its my birthday or anything...
Why now? Ive thrown like the biggest party ever and they'll come home to this mess.

I. Am. Screwed.

My parents and I are in an awkward kind of family relationship, yes, I love them and all but they werent really the ones who ook care of me as I grew up. And when they come home, we can get to spend time together, really few moments... but still I have to act like a proper fine lady... and them comming home to this kind of party doesnt say 'proper fine lady'

"Jane? I thought it was just dinner, I didnt expect that its a party" Sarah said sitting beside me at the terrace.

"Black dress suits you Sarah" I complimented.

"Its so plain, while yours is so pretty" she replied.

"Thanks, but really you look gorgoeus!" I smiled

Wasnt kidding, I would want one of those, but it may not suit me.

"Is that guy friend of yours comming?" She asked.

"Who? Drake?"

"Yeah, that guy"

Something seems off between Sarah and Drake, and whatever it is, I'll make sure I'll find it out... I may be really friendly but I have trust issues.

"He was supposed to but something came up and said he cant come" i answered

I noticed her mumble, but i cant really understand.

"How about we party inside?"

She nodded

Im screwed anyway better make the most of it.

"HAVANA OOOH NANA ALL OF MY HEART IS IN HAVANA!"
The havana song played and I danced like there's no tomorrow.

Im in the middle of so many people dancing to the tune.

"Want to go somewhere quiet?" A guy smirked.

"No" i said in a monotone

"Want to go somewhere quiet?"

My head hurts, i feel like ive heard that before.

"Lets partyyyyy!!!" I shouted while the crowd roared.

The party is great and people keep on comming, the band is here playing Too Good at Goodbyes, which caused couples everywhere make out. A lot has complemented about how great the party is!
Everything is going smooth. But then...

Mother and Father are calmly making their way through the crowd.

This is it

"Hey Mom,Dad, youre home!" I smiled.

"We werent expecting you'll throw a party for us" Mother said sarcastically.

Her eyes were roaming everywhere with look of disgust and disapproval.

" The party ends right-" Dad was cutt off in mid-sentence as he turned his attention somewhere else.

Mom too seemed tense

I followed their gaze and it was someone... a dark haired man that was really familliar that i send chills down my spine.

I gasped

"Micheal!" Mom called and went for a hug.

I dont get it... how did he know this bruised man from the alleyway..

His bruises are gone

"Hello Mr and Mrs Derlock, your daughter hosts such a wonderful party" he said.

My parents both turned to look at me and somehow, I can tell im not screwed anymore.

"You know Micheal?" I asked, pretending I know him.

They smiled

They said that apparantly Micheal owns a lot of properties all over the world, and explained that he has the best places to build and expand our bussiness.

They exchanged talks about bussiness and my parents left, they said they'll be staying at the rest house mansion.

"Arent you quite angel" I said thankful of his presence

His lips turned upward.

"Those pure creatures might get offended"
