The club is my best place. I guess. It is where my problems get lost.
I started dancing through the beat of the music.
I heard my phone vibrate inside my pocket. It's just 11 pm!
"Probably there." turo niya sa dancefloor.
"Well, we should keep going. My parents are gonna kill me when I get home." tawa ko at medyo nahilo na rin ako ng bahagya.
"I had fun girls! Bye!"
"Where have you been? It's almost 12 am!"
"Hi, Mom. I'm going upstairs. Goodnight."
"No. You stay right here. Let's talk!"
"How many times did I tell you that you are not allowed to go clubbing? Goodness, Serene! You're only 16!"
"Yes, Mom! I'm 16. So what? I can do things by myself. It's summer, what do you expect me to do? Stay at this house and read books?"
"Yes, you study!
Alright, Mom. I get it. I'm sorry dahil ako lang ang anak niyo! I'm sorry that I don't have a brother. I'm sorry because I am a dissapointment for you and Daddy!"
It's not my fault that I don't like business stuffs. But why do they keep insisting a thing that I never liked?
Too much for this day!
Kinabukasan, nakita kong nag-aalmusal sina Mom and Dad sa hapag. I kissed them both and sat on my chair.
"Serene, where have you been last night?"
"Just with my friends, dad."
"Your mom and I were worried. Your mom's been calling you and you didn't answer any of her calls."
"Sorry, dad. My phone's got dead so..."
Umiling-iling si Dad sa sinabi ko.
"By the way, we're attending a business event this Friday." Anunsyo ni Dad.
"What event, Rod?" tanong ni Mommy.
"May bagong CEO sa kumpanya ng Mr. Chan at inimbita niya tayo to attend the celebration... We can get more investors there, too."
