Chapter 4: Paintball fight

After Blackstar said those words,Saitteki came running to you both. "What's happening here ?" He blinked,Blackstar putting his hand down. "She said she's going with us." Blackstar held a thumb up. "What ?! I don't remember myself saying—" "It'll be fun." He softly smiled,then grabbed your hand. "And it's your god's command. You're coming with us ! Saitteki,let's go meet the others !" Blackstar grinned big,dragging you as he ran. You had no other choice but to follow,thinking of one thing.

"I feel like something will change…"

"Okay ! (y/n),this is Maka,Soul,Tsubaki,Liz,Patti,and Kid !" Saitteki introduced. They all said greetings,and you just nodded. Blackstar grabbed a… Toy gun ? From a box,then pointed it at Kid's face. "Let's start the fun !" He grinned. Kid's eyes widened. "Not me ! Please,don't ruin my symmetrical clothes !" He pleaded. Blackstar just laughed.

"We'll go in teams. Since we are 9,the one who wins in the rock-paper-scissors will have the extra person. And it'll be their pic." He said. Everyone blinked,then just nodded. "Kid and I are the leaders !" Blackstar stated,holding his fist out. "Okay !" Kid smirked,doing the same."Rock,paper,scissors !" Kid and Blackstar said in unison,shaking their fists in front each other.

"YAHOOO~! (Y/N),YOU'RE WITH ME !" Blackstar chuckled,grabbing you. "Hey ! Why me ?" You grumbled. "And I don't want to be teamed up with a weakling !" You said. Blackstar grinned big,holding a thumb up. "This will be fun. I'm sure this will make you smile." He smirked.

You're in Blackstar's team,together with Soul,Maka,and Tsubaki. Kid has Liz,Saitteki,and Patti. "Game !" Blackstar tossed you a paintball gun. You caught it frantically,confused. "What is this ?" You asked. "Paintball fight ! The team with the most shots lose !" He chuckled,shooting Kid. You just watched,holding the paintball gun with an awkward stance.

Saitteki shot you with a paintball,but Blackstar grabbed you near him,making you dodge. You shot a glare. "Just shoot everyone on the other team !" He commanded,before getting shot by Kid at his side. He grinned,then shot him back multiple times.

You blinked,then smirked. "That easy ? Sure ! Let's get this done !" You snickered,pressing your back against Blackstar's as you shot Liz from behind. Blackstar looked at you through the corner of his eye. "Nice." He smirked,then looked back in front. "I knew you need assist. Don't think of this as something else." You sternly said,before,turning and shooting Paintballs at Saitteki.

"Incoming~!" Patti giggled,then made a devious,crazy grin. She shot you and Blackstar multiple times,you two ducking and hiding behind the box. A yellow paintball hit your shoulder and back at the proccess. Blackstar had one at the back of his head,paint splattered around. Blackstar chuckled,before standing up again and shooting.

"Let's cancel the teams ! Let's go all out and shoot anyone !" Soul grinned,shooting Maka. "Ow !" She grumbled. "Fine ! All teams canceled ! You're on your own !" She announced,before running to Soul and shooting him back multiple times.

You blinked,as Blackstar grinned and pointed the paintball gun at you. "Sorry (y/n)." He smirked. You chuckled,swatting the gun off and shooting him multiple times,before running backwards. "That's bullsh*t !" You yelled,still shooting him. Blackstar fell on the ground,face and body covered with paint. He chuckled. "She's starting to enjoy this…" He thought.

You sighed,panting as you sat under a tree. Yep,you all are in a forest so it'll be a challenge. You sighed,then smiled to yourself. "He's right. This seems fun…" You mumbled. You never show anyone how you feel. Even Saitteki. You just kick anyone's ass if pissed,and keep that stern,straight face. And lock your feelings to yourself. Well,there's a reason,but you wouldn't let anyone know.

"Are you… Smiling…?" You blinked as you heard Blackstar's voice. You made a straight face again,then shot him with the paintball gun. "I'm not ! I never smile !" You stood up,shooting him still. He dodged,then pointed the gun at you and shot back. You both took equal damages. You sat down,letting yourself fall on the grass ground. "This is tiring !" You groaned. Blackstar laughed,sitting beside you in an indian sit,facing the opposite view.

You turned and adjusted yourself,making yourself lean against the tree and stretch. You stretched your legs out,looking at how dirty you are. 18 paintballs got you,and it almost soaked your torso. Blackstar was the same,but his face had a lot. And when I say a lot. It is really a lot. He just grinned,setting the paintball gun down. "I won't give up. I'll see that smile clearly. Then I'll be the first to do that,as your god." He glanced at you. You just raised an eyebrow. "Let me see you try." You smirked. He grinned confidently,putting a hand behind his head,then raising the other high,pointing at the sky. "I swear,I will." He said with a smile.

You never noticed,but Saitteki's watching from a distance. He stared at you both,envy and jealousy filled in his eyes. He always loved you,but will never admit or show it. He sighed,looking away with hurt and regrets. He leaned against a tree near you two,then slid down,sitting. He placed the paintball gun down,sighing.

"She's mine. I won't let Blackstar be the first to make her smile."
