Chapter 27: Surprise

"Huh…?" You looked around. "Why bring me here then ? This place will just make you remember about your past,right…?" You looked at him. Blackstar just sighed. "Yeah. But I didn't brought you here to mourn over my past." He shrugged. "Then why ?" You asked. He chuckled. "Wait for it." He smirked. You just sighed. "Okay." You shrugged.

Blackstar sat on the concrete floor,which made you look at him. "Stand. The ground's dirty." You sternly said. Blackstar chuckled,raising a hand. "Sure. Help me up." He shrugged. You sighed then took his hand. You were about to pull him up when he gripped your hand tightly,then pulled you down instead. You gasped,falling on him. He chuckled as he poked your forehead,then pushed you to his side,making you sit beside him. "There." He grinned.

You glared,crossing your arms. "Psh." You just rolled your eyes. Minutes passed,and it was awkwardly quiet,so Blackstar opened up. "So… Can you tell me more about yourself ?" He asked. You blinked. "Uh… Sure." You shrugged. "I started living in the streets since I was thirteen. That part of Death City became my shelter. Until Saitteki met me." You plainly said. Blackstar looked at you. "That's it ?" He asked. You nodded. He grumbled,scratching his head.

"Well… Do you already like someone ?" He asked. You blinked,then looked away. "Uhm… Yes…" You mumbled. Blackstar blinked. "Who ?" He asked. "YOU !" You thought. But you just sighed. "Not. Telling." You crossed your arms. "Aww ? Okay." He pouted. You blinked,then just laughed. "Stop that. You look cute." You pinched his cheek. "Ow !" He groaned. You just laughed again.

Blackstar held his cheek as he watched you laugh. For him,it was the best sight and sound. You noticed him looking,so you quickly stopped. "U-uh… Forget that happened…" You mumbled. Blackstar just chuckled. "You look cute when you laugh. You better take that emotionless mask off and wear your smiling one." He sighed. You just looked away.

Blackstar blinked,looking at the sky. When he saw that it was already night time,he quickly covered your eyes. "What the… Hey !" You reacted. "Shhh ! It's coming !" He whisper-yelled. You just pouted. He waited for about 5 minutes,before releasing his hand. "There." He smiled.

You looked around,seeing the same,messy place. "What happened ?" You blinked. Blackstar sighed then laid down. "Hey !" You looked at him. He scratched his head then he grabbed your shoulder,pulling you and making you lay on the concrete floor. You resisted at first,but gave in after. "Look." He smiled,placing his hands behind his head.

You looked amazed at the view. The stars were everywhere,sparkling brightly with the moon. The sky was dark and breeze started to blow,and it felt refreshing. "W-wow…" You mumbled. Blackstar chuckled. "Yep. I discovered that stars have a better view in this spot. No one paid attention because of the destruction,but the sky is nice. That's why I brought you here." He shrugged. You turned your head at him,your face inches away from his side. You slightly blushed,but managed to somehow hide it.

Suddenly,Blackstar turned his head to you also. Making both of your faces inches away. You blinked,as Blackstar's eyes met yours. You both realized then blushed,so you two just looked back at the sky. As you gazed at the stars,you remembered your little secret. And how it can just smash you and his friendship like a hammer shattering a glass. You sighed at the thought. "I wish it's just like this…" You mumbled. He blinked. "What do you mean by that ?" He asked.

"I wish everything's fine. That problems don't exist…" You sighed. He looked at you as you stared at the sky. "Hey Blackstar…" You sat up,before fixing your hair and looking at him. Blackstar looked at you,still laying on the ground. "Yep ?" He asked. "Can you promise me one thing ?" You asked. Blackstar sat up then ruffled his hair. "Sure." You shrugged. Yeu sighed. "Promise me you won't leave me behind… Whatever happens… Okay ?" You looked at him. Blackstar sighed also. "Look,I don't know why you're talking about me leaving you behind… But…" He smiled,giving you a thumb up.

"I promise."
