Chapter 15: What if ?

You sighed,drifting your gaze to the sunset. "What if everyone knows…" You thought. "They might leave me… Even Saitteki…" You frowned mentally. Back then,everyone you trusted left you behind because of that little secret of yours. "So… Why is it ? Is something wrong with your past ?" Blackstar asked. You took the stuff toy,then just hugged it. "Yes… But… Please… Don't dig in…" You mumbled.

Blackstar blinked,then just nodded. "Well… If you say so…" He shrugged. The wheel stopped,giving everyone some "bonding time" in the small cart. You know what's best ? You two are in the middle top.

"Hey… Everyone knows this… So maybe I should let you know too." Blackstar looked at you. You blinked,looking back. "Huh ?" You looked confused. "Have you heard of the Star clan ?" He asked. "That clan ? Of course… My… Uh… Mom told me that they'd do anything for money…" You answered.

"Yep. Well… I'm the lone survivor of that clan…" He sighed. "You are ?" You asked. "Yes. I was still a baby when the academy killed them because they already left the path of the human… They ate human souls and they began searching for power…" He shrugged. "But Sid brought me back to Death City because he knows that I'm still innocent about my clan's doings. Then he raised me until I was able to go to the school." Blackstar said. You just nodded. "Well… Something's wrong about him raising you up…" You sternly said. He blinked,looking at you. "What is it ?" He asked.

"That he raised a freaking moron who thinks he's such a star and a big god but he's just a stubborn little kid." You crossed your arms. Blackstar's eye twitched,looking at you annoyed. "Shut up ! I'm the one who will surpass god ! Just wait for it !" He pointed a finger out. "Whatever." You rolled your eyes.

"Maybe it's better this way…"

"That was sooooo fun !" Patti laughed. "Well… You almost broke the target dummy for that girraffe toy." Liz sighed. "Soul got scared in the haunted house !" Maka laughed. Soul looked at her,irritated. "I didn't ! You're the one who clung to my arm that time !" He smirked. "It's fun… Well… Saitteki got that small unicorn keychain in that ball game." Tsubaki laughed. "Psh. That's why it's yours now. I don't like girly stuff." Saitteki huffed. "And I'm sure (y/n) won't like girly stuff too…" Saitteki mentally shrugged.

"So… Where did you get that symmetrical stuff toy,(y/n) ?" Kid looked at you. You blinked,then pointed at Blackstar. "He gave it to me." You plainly said. Everyone except you and Blackstar blinked,glancing at him. "You did ?" They asked. Blackstar chuckled. "Hell yeah ! I won that thing in the gun game. But those aren't fit for a god like me so it's hers now !" He bragged. "Oooohhhh~" Patti and Tsubaki nodded. Saitteki just shoved his hands in his pockets. Maka,Soul,Liz and Kid made smug grins. "Is that the only reason ?" They asked in unison. Blackstar looked at them,eyebrows furrowed. "Well,yes. Why ask ?" He blinked.

"You slow dumbass…" Soul grumbled,before looking away disappointed. "Yeah." Kid added. Blackstar looked at them,confused. "What ?" He asked. "Nothing." Maka shrugged. Blackstar just shrugged.

When you all reached Kid's house,it was already around 9:30 so he decided to just let you all sleep there again. Saitteki said he was tired so he went straight to their room. While you just sat on the couch then read a book. Blackstar was eating pocky from Kid's fridge,looking at you. "Seriously,are you a nerd ?" He question,before jumping on the couch and moving near you. "I'm not. I just like books." You shrugged. Blackstar looked at you,then chuckled. "You're like Maka." He said,handing the box of pocky over to you. You just took three sticks,then went back to reading.

"You can say that." You shrugged. Blackstar slightly yawned,eating two sticks at the same time. The atmosphere was awkward and silent,so he decided to pull his phone out and start scrolling around facebook.

He saw a post about something sweet,so he had an idea. "Maybe this will work on her." He grinned. "Hey (y/n)." Blackstar looked at you. You stopped reading,looking at him. "What ?" You sternly asked. "I was just wondering…" He set the phone down.

"What will you do if I kick you ?" He asked. "What kind of question is that ? OF COURSE I'LL KICK YOU BACK IN THE FACE,STAR-HEAD !" You said. "Uhm… What if I punch you ?" He asked again. "Then I'll punch you back. What kind of stupidity is this ?" You grumbled. He laughed,leaning close to you with a big,teasing grin.

"Well… What if I love you ?"
