Chapter 39: Unexpected

"Oi. You going to the sleepover tonight ?" Soul nudged my shoulder. Blackstar just laughed. "Psh. I still have to visit (y/n). Who knows ? The unexpected might come." He shrugged. Soul sighed. "You always say that." He pouted. "What ? You're gonna miss me,Evans boy ?" Blackstar chuckled. "Shut up." Soul shoved his hands in his pockets. "Well,see you tomorrow." Blackstar bro-fisted with him. Soul returned the bro-fist,then went to Maka.

Yeeeep,a year have passed. But still,you're sound asleep. Even the doctors started to give up and suggested to take all of your lifelines out,but Blackstar didn't let them. He's still waiting for you to wake up. Soul was already a deathscythe,and guess what ? He FINALLY had the guts to ask Maka out. Now they are a couple.

As for Saitteki,he already apologized to Blackstar. And finally moved on. He found this transfer in the school and was planning to ask her out. But he's still saving some courage and guts to do so. And of course,he's also waiting for you to wake up. You're his meister,and he can never be a deathscythe without you.

Tsubaki's still Blackstar's partner though,and as usual,they're still stuck at zero souls. Blackstar's ego is such a pain.

Blackstar placed his bag on the chair,then went beside you. He visits you every fridays and mondays. Your hair grew longer and of course,you're slim because of lack of food and movements. "I've been poking you for a whole year now,(y/n) ! When are you going to wake and punch me in the face again ?" He laughed at his own statement,before poking your nose and sighing. He opened the curtains then slightly stretched. "You're left behind. We are already a year advanced than you. Get your lazy ass up and go to school once you wake." He sighed.

He suddenly felt thirsty,so he sighed then went to the door. "Don't you dare wake up without me around." He glanced at you before closing the door. The room was silent for a while. Not until the monitor beeped slightly faster than usual.

[To Blackstar's…]

"What's with this machine ?" Blackstar looked with annoyance. He fisted the machine,then it finally released a soda can. Blackstar just smirked. "Afraid to be punched by a star ?" He shrugged then took the soda can,then started drinking after he opened it. He started walking back to your room,finishing the soda and tossing it to the trash can.

He noticed some of the nurses looking at your room's window. Blackstar looked at them,going closer. "What's wrong ?" He blinked. "Don't tell me she…" His eyes went wide in worry as he sprinted to your room,thinking that you flat-lined. "(y/n) !" Blackstar slammed the door open,panting as he saw you.

"Ow… Please,be careful while opening the door. It hurts my ears…"

Blackstar's eyes went wide. "(y-y/n)…" He mumbled.

"You're finally awake !"
