Chapter 31: Dance

As soon as you reached the park,you saw Blackstar sitting on one of the swings in the park's playground. His back was showing to you,so he still don't know you're here. You slightly laughed,silently walking to him.

"Where the hell is she…" He mumbled. When you reached his back,you pushed him off of the swing. "What th—" He landed face-first on the ground,voice muffled. You laughed loudly as he sat up,looking at you with an annoyed face. "You look funny !" You commented,laughing. Blackstar blinked,staring at you. It was the third time he saw you laugh,which was making his heart skip a beat.

You noticed him staring,so you quickly stopped and looked away. "What…?" You mumbled. Blackstar blushed,then looked away. "N-nothing…" He mumbled. You just shrugged,then held your hand out. "Stand up. Your attire will be nothing if you get dirty before we even start." You sighed. Yep,he was wearing a blue t-shirt,matching yours,and some pants. He was also wearing converse shoes. "Y-yeah…" He grabbed your hand as you pulled him up. He stood on his feet,dusting his pants. "So… What's your plans ?" You asked,looking at him.

Blackstar scratched his head. "Actually… None…" He mumbled. Your eye twitched,looking at him. "WHAT ?!" You reacted. Blackstar nervously laughed. "I just took money from Tsubaki's wallet to buy you a dress… Well,good thing she noticed so she just forgave me and let me." He said. (A/n: That time in the last chapter where Maka wondered where he get all his money and Tsubaki said that her wallet's missing… xD) "O-oh…" You sighed.

He slightly laughed. "I see,you tied your hair up." He teased. "Shut up. Saitteki did that." You grumbled. He just smiled. "Well,it suits you. You look good tonight." He said. You slightly blushed,looking away. "U-uh… Thanks…" You mumbled.

"So… Do you know how to dance…?" You looked confused at his question. "I don't even wear dresses. How. The. Hell. Should. I. Know ?" You sternly asked. He sighed. "Let me teach you. Sometimes,you have to be a girl. You can't stay as a boyish one forever." He grabbed your hand then placed it on his shoulder. You raised an eyebrow. "You're gonna dance with me without music ? You really are an idiot,huh ?" You rolled your eyes. Blackstar laughed. "Who said we don't have music ?" He pulled out his phone,plugging earphones and putting one in your ear. Then he wore the other in his. You blinked,as a song played through the earbud.

"This time,this place

Misused,mistakes"

"This song…" You mumbled. Blackstar placed his hand around your waist,then held your free hand. "Well,Soul made me listen to a list of songs. But this one is the song I loved the most. So I picked it." He shrugged.

"Too long,too late

Who was I to make you wait ?"

"You have the same taste. This is one of my favorites." You shrugged also. "Lucky pick." He laughed. "Lead,okay ? I don't know how…" You mumbled. Blackstar just grinned. "Leave it to me."

As the song played,Blackstar led the dance. And you easily followed. He was a good teacher,and you know it. It was funny though,because he's all cocky and loud. You never knew he knows how to dance.

As you both danced,you felt strange. And lucky. Cause you know that he's dumb enough not to feel how fast your heart was beating that time.

You danced,in awkward silence. Good thing it was night time,and people aren't really around. Then out of nowhere,you remembered your secret. You frowned in the inside,knowing this will be a good chance to tell him about it.

"Uhm… Blackstar…? Can I tell you something…?"
