Eve, Evan and I went back to my (old?) house and we got our clothing and money we had saved. When we finished up getting our things together we headed back to Eves, to set up our stuff instead of having it in a bag.
I look down at my phone and I had another text from Dylan. What the fuck does he want? He doesn't even know about Evan. He has no clue about what's happening right now. "Ski I want to come get you there is something I need to talk to you about..." he stated. "Uh Eve
can you come here please." I yelled because she was down the hall but she could tell my voice was shaking. "What's wrong?" She said while running into her room. "Dylan wants to meet up with me, he has something he needs to talk about with me but I don't want to go alone is there anyway you could c-" is all I got out before she cut me off and grabbed me by the wrists "of course I'll go with you. I'm not going to let you get through this alone, I promise." I've never had someone stay with me through shit like this, everyone usually leaves once I open up. "Ski don't fuck this up by getting feelings for her, she deserves better than you anyway." I think to myself.
I told Dylan that Eve will be coming and if he didn't accept that then we wouldn't be able to talk, so now we are on our way out to dinner with my "father" to talk about something I apparently don't know. I'm gonna have to tell him about Evan. Fuck. I have a lot to tell him, don't I.
We made it to the restaurant and met him at a table. "Hey girls have a seat." He says as he gets up to pull out our chairs. "Thank you." We both say. "Now what did you want to talk about?" I ask anxiously. "Well actually I needed to ask you about your mother's sickness." He said without flinching and my jaw dropped as my eyes began to fill with tears. "I already told you at the hospital, I had no clue she was sick. If I knew do you think I would let her die? Maybe I need to ask you a few questions. Like where was she the night before she was in the hospital, because she sure as hell wasn't home, and how did u meet up with her? Explain that, or I'm leaving." I said angrily. "We were drinking and she collapsed, she had more to drink than me, so I drove her to the hospital. She never lost contact with me for the past 13 years. We talked often actually, but you didn't know that. Did you?" He spoke quickly and quietly. Tears were building up in my eyes and I told him Eve and I had to go, I couldn't take anymore of it. Not right now, it's still too new. We called Eves mom and she came to pick us up so we didn't have to walk, since it was getting dark out. I somehow held it together until we got into the house.
Eve was always there when I needed her. We laid down and I couldn't hold it back anymore. She knows that when I start crying, all you do is hold me, you don't say anything. You just hold me and don't let go. That's exactly what she did and we ended up falling asleep like that. I always get this weird feeling in my stomach when she holds me or when we are really close. I really hope this isn't what I think it is.
