I often see and hear the question,
"What do guys like in girls?"
or
"What do girls like in guys?"
And I constantly see answers
That have to do with
Haircuts
Religions
Anatomy
Makeup
And so many other things.
I constantly see answers
Telling a man or a woman
To dress in a certain color
In order to attract someone
Of the opposite sex.
In asking questions like these,
Are you asking someone,
"How can I get this girl/guy to fall in love with me at first sight?"
Well.
I personally don't believe in
"Love at fist sight."
I believe it takes
Will,
Patience,
And and open mind
To discover what love really is.
If you love someone,
It shouldn't matter
If they wear
a pink or blue shirt to school one day.
If you love someone,
You shouldn't have to take an online quiz
To find out if she's interested.
If you love someone,
It's not what they wear,
Or what they say,
Or what they own,
Or what they do,
It's how you feel about
THEM.
Everyone is different.
We all look for someone
Who meets to our ideas.
Someone who has a quality you love.
Someone who understands.
Not someone who spikes their hair to the clouds
Or wears skinny jeans every day.
Deep down,
All we want is love.
But not just 'Love',
We want the Pure kind of love.
The love we've imagined sense we were kids.
Even as a kid
I wanted a man who listened.
Someone who looks at me,
And I just know the way he feels.
Someone to comfort me.
To hold me.
To talk to me.
To take interest in me.
Someone who loves ME.
Not how I dress.
Not how I do my hair.
Not how I look.
Yes,
Looks are a bonus.
But there is so much more
In a person
To love.
It's our differences that makes us unique.
Is what makes us unique
That leads us to someone
Who loves our flaws.
Whether they're flaws or not.
So stop asking those questions,
And discover them yourself.
Find someone
And talk to them.
Ask them questions.
Spend some time with them.
And you won't have to ask strangers
If girls/guys like a certain haircut.
Because there is someone out there
Who will love everything about you.
The way you laugh,
The way you talk,
The way you walk,
And so much more.
There is so much more to you
For someone to love.
There is someone who will love
The way your top lip disappears and your nose crinkles when you smile.
They will love the way your voice squeaks when you laugh.
They will love the way you do anything and everything.
They will love you.
