Chapter Two: Jealousy

Eren's POV

The next morning, my ass was feeling sore. Last night was...confusing...and filled with feelings I never knew I'd feel. Opening my eyes, he was there, still holding me. My body was still very warm, much better than sleeping in the cellar. 'Levi...loves me...who knew...'
Smiling to myself, I nuzzled closer to him to get even warmer. After a few minutes, his body stirred, taking his arm off of me. The bed lightening when he stood up made me peek at him. He groaned and stretched, walking out of the room. I closed my eyes again, still getting over the night before.
Ten minutes later, I was woken back up by him nudging my body with his boot.
"Oi...brat...get up.."
I slowly looked at him, my eyelids still heavy.
"Come on, you can't stay in here all day."
He walks out, quietly shutting the door behind him.

Levi's POV

'Damnit...why did I do that...'
Walking to my office, I scratched my head. I started to clean Eren's mess on my desk. 'I can't let anyone know...God forbid he tells anyone...Why did I force him..'
Standing up straight, staring at the floor, I sighed and tried to calm down.
'Just have him promise not to tell anyone...'
I walk back to my room, tossing Eren his clothes.
"Get dressed."
"Yes sir..."
Doing as I told him, I started to walk out again, then saying, "One more thing...You can never tell anyone...that we're dating..." With that, I walk back out.
"Ehhh??!?! D-dating?!?"
I can hear him from down the hall.
'Shitty brat...'
I smile slightly to myself, and walk to Erwin's office.
'I especially can't have Erwin know...I don't know what would happen...I don't know what would happen to Eren.'
I knocked a few times on the door, hoping he's in there so we can talk.
"Come in..."
Opening the door, I see him sitting behind his desk.
"Have a seat Levi, I actually wanted to see you."
"Fine..."
I sat in the nearest leather seat, crossing my legs out of habit.
"So you remember Levi, when I forced you into the Scouting regiment?"
...Of course I remember...I think about it everyday...That's the day...when I lost my..
"Levi."
I flinched, snapping back into reality.
"Y-ya. I remember. So what?"
"You had fire in you, I could tell. Whatever happened to that?"
"I'm fine Erwin, it's not gone. I just..."
I know. I'm not as spirited as a was back then...but why should I even try when I know I'm going to die...
"Anyways Erwin, I wanted to talk to you. Before the expedition, I need to go over some things. Eren will be protected, right?"
"Right. We'll make sure he doesn't die. We're just going to try to get to wall Maria."
I nod and stand.
"Sorry for interrupting. That's all."
I walked back out, going back to my room to see that Eren already left. Heh...he even made the bed.
I walked back out and started walking down the hall, until another brat stopped me.
"I need an explanation Levi. Why was Eren coming out of your room this morning?"
Mikasa....damnit...why is she so attached to Eren?
"I made him clean the room early this morning, don't worry about it."
I started walking past her, but was stopped by her pulling my jacket back.
"You're lying aren't you? I swear, if I find out you did anything to Eren, I will fucking-"
"I told you, nothing happened."
I pulled away from her grasp.
"And if you're trying to threaten me, it'll take more than that to scare me. Go outside with the others."
I managed to finally get away from her. If she found out, she won't hesitate to slice my head off. But, she won't take Eren away from me. I marked him, therefore he's my property now.

Later that day, Levi's squad were in their usual meeting room, talking about the expedition for the next day. Levi sat in the chair at the end of the table, silently sipping his tea while the rest of his squad were talking away.

Eren's POV

The captain was being quiet. I wonder why. Usually, he'd at least say or comment on something, but it seems something is bothering him.
"Nn...Captain?"
I can try to at least get him to say something.
"What do you think? Will we actually make it to the wall tomorrow?"
He looked up and stared at me, setting his tea down with a sigh.
"You know what Eren...I think we can. We're the best fucking squad here right? I have faith in every single one of you. I'm sure we can go through one little expedition without losing a leg."
Everyone cheered up and started talking more, but he goes back to his tea.
After an hour, they exited, leaving me and Levi alone.
"What's wrong Levi?...You're quiet..."
"Ya...so what?"
He glares at me, sending my spirits down lower.
"Well, it's just that...since this morning...you..."
"Just go with the others, it's fine..."
"...Did I do something?...Is it because of last night? Is it about the mission?"
"...Did you tell Mikasa...or Armin anything?...At all?"
Well...Armin read that letter, so he knows...but not Mikasa...
"I didn't tell anyone about last night..."
There was a hard knock at the door, so I went to go open it.
"Don't open it Eren..."
I didn't listen. As I did open it, I was yanked out.
"Agh! Mikasa??"
She was dragging me through the hall, walking quickly away from the room.
"Let me go! Stop!"
She threw me against the stoned wall, immediately yelling at me.
"Are you sure he didn't do anything Eren?! Did he do tests? Hurt you?...Touched you??"
"I already said he didn't! Stop worrying about me!"
I slowly got up, holding my aching back.
"Tell me the truth Eren! I know that he did something to you!"
"Back off Mikasa!"
I stepped towards her, pushing her back.
"You're not my mom, you're my sister! I don't care what you want! I can take care of myself, so just back the fuck off! I can do whatever I want without you always by me! Every single mission, you always want to protect me! You're so annoying!"
I stepped back, turning away and walking down the hall, mumbling to myself.
Nightfall came. Everyone fell asleep early for the mission tomorrow, but I stayed awake in my bed, tossing and turning. I was in my cellar, not wanting to bother Levi anymore.
'Damnit Mikasa. Stop worrying about me...'
I started to worry about the mission tomorrow as I huddled in my blanket, shivering.
Just then, I heard light footsteps coming my direction. I swear it better not be Mikasa, even if it's to apologize, although I do deserve an apology.
The door was unlocked and opened, followed by the creaking of someone sitting on my bed. My covers were lifted up, and the figure layed down next to me.
"Tomorrow...don't die, ok brat?"
"....Yes heichou..."
His arm wrapped around me. I feel his lips pressed against my neck, kissing softly, until I fall asleep.
