Back Bone

Lilly!

I arrived home safely meeting kate at the door.

"Hey thanks for watching Lily" I said.

"Why the random call?" She said sounding annoyed.

"Lilly's mother needed help"

"Ok... Well Lily is upstairs. She just had a snack" She said walking away. "I love you Dan. I just wanted you to know that... I... I... I wanted you to know this before you get in way to deep with her family." She left me with those words echoing through my head.

I walked into Lily's room knocking on her door first. I was greeted by Lilly with straightened hair and wearing the nightclothes i got for her.

"Danny your home!" She screams as she jumps on me for a hug about to knock me to the ground snuggling her nose in my chest.

"Okay calm down Lilly" i said patting her head. She got down and she smiled at me with the widest smile. "Are you hungry?" i ask as i hear her stomach growl. I grabbed my pockets for my phone realizing that i left it with Lexie, so i walked into the kitchen to call for a pizza on the land line. lilly chilled in the living room deciding what TV show we should watch as we wait for the pizza. i grabbed a spot next to her as she flipped to a channel that was hosting an MMA fight. She was, in my opinion, to young to watch something as violent as MMA, but considering what was going on with her family, i'll allow it.

"How's it going Lilly?" I asked

"It's good. Why haven't you been home in a while?" She asked me.

"i have business to attend to," i say to her with her not really answering the question. "I ordered that pizza that i told you about as an apology for being gone for too long."

"Really... I mean... I forgive you... Thank you." She said really confused.

"Oh thank god. I thought that you hated me," I said chuckling "Well the pizza will be here soon."

"Ok." She said as she snuggled into my chest as we watched the end of a brilliantly gruesome fight, But we were cut short by the door bell ringing. I stood up thinking it was the pizza guy. i undid the locks and started to open when the door was slammed into my head knocking me out. the last thing i heard before i passed out was the distressed voice of Lily. God i hate the feeling of helplessness.

THE 4TH DREAM

I opened my eyes and i was standing. this was my house but there was something different. I was standing on the ceiling. there were lights surrounding me. Ribbons of light everywhere. i look below me and i see a familiar figure.

"Dad" I say feeling tears rush up my face.

"Hows it going Tyke? Hows that little girl you have been taking care of." Jay says.

"Wait, Lilly, Where is she?!"

"Calm down tyke she's safe for now." He says adjusting himself to the ceiling "She's at the A.S.P.B. my brother... Your uncle has her."

"I'll get her back, after all she is one of the only things i have right now"

"Im sure you will son. When you wake up you will see the house on fire and your bike destroyed. Your birthday was on the week before me and your mother died. So when i knew i was going to die i slipped a key in your hoodie pocket."

"The one i buried out back..."

"Yes, You will find a suitable gift in the locked shed out back." He said as he grabbed my shoulders." Get your little girl back." I rushed to give him a hug.

"I love and miss you dad"

"I love and miss you to son." He said as flames engulfed the house.

"LILLY!!" I screamed as i woke up.

"Danny, Danny, Get up" I hear someone say "Daniel come on!" I slowly open my eyes to see Lexie's crying face

"Lilly, she's gone." I say crying in Lexie's shoulder "I have to get her back."

"Whoa, calm down there, you won't be going far." She said pointing to my house and my bike. At this point I broke down. I didn't care about the bike, but the house has history. Now history can be good or bad, but this was what's left of my parents memory. This won't last long. I got up and Lex followed i grabbed a shovel from the garden and started to dig where the hoodie was buried. Lexi watched as i grabbed the doomed hoodie. I reached into the pocket and i found the key. Lex and i walked to the shed and i unlocked it to see my dad's bike in all of its glory this was my chance. the bike wasn't the only thing. there was a whole mechanics shop in there.

"Whoa. whose bike is this?" Lexie asked

"Its my father's bike." I said wiping the tears of my face. i saw a set of riding clothes. they were just black. Perfect because it matched the color scheme of the bike. i pick it up seeing the betton chrest on the right breast of the jacket. i threw it on and it was a perfect fit. Of course it did after all i wear the same size of clothes as my father. i grabbed the helmet and the bike as i started to make my way to the road. i can hear the sounds of the fire truck sirens off in the distance. I got on the 1500cc bike and put on the helmet

"Here take this" Lexie said as she handed me my phone" That's the reason i came here unannounced. Please be careful" She said as she hugged me.

"I will" I said pulling off into the distance. My stomach dropped. I can't be making baseless promises like this, but i wasn't going to rest until i find Lilly. I rode fast through the city trying to find where the old ASPB was, but they switch the location of the building every so often. I walked up to the old ASPB. I look up at the building which was now an office building and glanced at the sign "Asylum Sanctuary Preservation Building" when i saw a familiar car. The car of the Asylum goons.I took off in their direction following them making it as obvious as possible. i followed them to this small warehouse. The garage doors opened and i followed them in. The men got out of the car with gas masks on. I got off my bike and started to walk towards them when my body started to feel heavy. i hit the ground hard before i passed out trying not to make a noise of pain. The last thing i feel is the men grabbing my arm and dragging my arm towards the car. i also hear the sound of my bike starting up.
