1ST Dream

"Wake up Danial" i hear a familiar voice. it's my mother. Its before her drinking hours, so now she's the caring mother i have always loved. "Wake up Danial you need to wake up. it's time for school." I turn around to greet my mother but when i turned, her face was next to mine. her breath smells like mint. Thank god it isn't whisky. "Mornin Dany" she said with a chuckle as she backed away to give me space.

"Morning mom." i said with a yawn "Isn't it Saturday?"

"Right it is Danio ,but it's noon and you have that dance with Katie." She said nudging me in a teasing manner as i got up out of bed. "Plus we have to get you a suit, you really don't have any real nice clothes."

"Mom you know i have dress clothes."

"Not nice enough to go to the prom with a hottie like Katie." She said grinning. She had a point. Katie and i have been going out for almost a year now. She's a petite girl with bright hazel eyes and short brown hair with a little bit of red dye. that has been her style for as long as i knew her. She also has the brightest smile i have ever seen. She could light up any gloomy room with just a grin. She's pretty as well so, bonus points. i got up to go downstairs to get coffee, but as i walked down the narrow stairs the color in my vision started to fade and i felt a shaking sensation. that's when i woke up.

"Danny, Danny, wake up." I hear as i slowly woke up. I turned in my bed to see her Lilly right in front of mine. Her breath smells like mint. Huh deja vu.

"Ah! Sorry! Morning! How did you sleep.", i let out a tiny scream. I didn't want to frighten her, but, I failed.

"Jesus don't scare me like that." She said. I pat her on the head apologetically. I don't understand why her parents would just abandon her. She is a wonderful child. When i was her age, I... I... I don't remember. Alot from my childhood memories are fuzzy, the psyche said that it was just the trauma from the accident, But i'm not too sure about that

I stood up and got ready for the day.

I met LillyAnna down stairs and cooked some very delicious breakfast burritos. I laughed as Lilly tried to eat more than her little mouth could handle, and she almost turned red trying to chew the mouthful of food. The food was good. I grabbed my phone to see there was a missed call from Dr. Mclachlin. I punched his number into the phone and waited for the dial tone

"Hello Thank you for calling Uptown Psych how can we help you today" A chipper woman's voice said through the receiver.

"Hi i'm calling to return a call to Dr. Mclachlin." I said to the woman.

"Ok sir i'll transfer you to his office. He might have a patient right now, so you might be on hold for a little." I heard her say as an audible click was sent through the phone soon followed by another dial tone.

"Dr. Mclachlin, how can i help you to day" The good Doc said

"Hey Doc, this is Daniel Betton. I wanted to return this call to you." I said to him

"Good to hear Dan, I was wondering if you want to schedule for today since you missed the appointment last night?"

"Sure, I'll join you today."

"Good, Please do not miss the appointment this time."

"Will do Doc." I say as i hang up.

I walked to the window and waited as i tried to hear for a car door. When it didn't come, I took Lilly downstairs to the living room for her to watch tv.

"You don't talk much do you?" I said to Lilly.

"It's just hard for me to express myself, My dad wasn't nice to me and now i have to search for the words that best match what i want to say"

"Oh you poor thing" I said as i pat her head to grab my laptop. I open it up to see if there's any missing child reports on a LillyAnna Lowrence, but there was nothing. Wow her parents really abandoned her. I say as keep searching the police reports. "Ahh!" I heard Lilly squeak. I turned to see what surprised her. What i saw was my girlfriend just standing there looking a mixture of surprise disappointment and anger.

" I have many Questions." Katie says " Like, WHO THE HELL IS THAT GIRL!"

" Katie i can explain." I said to her. And I did. "I want to take her to the shopping square to get her new clothes. When i found her, she was wearing rags.

"I'll come with you." Kate said. "You probably wouldn't know where to start with looking for clothing for girls." She said. LillyAnna waddled down the stairs. "Hey Lilly would you like to go shopping with me and Dan."

"Sure!" she said doing a cute little dance.
