"So you guys are back on?"
"Uhh-"
"Well that's what you're insinuating."
"Gonna have to agree with Dani on that one.."
"Did he come clean with all, well most of his sketchy past?"
"He did. He covered the good and the bad of it all...some scary shit may I add. All in all, I'm getting to a place where I can trust him again."
"Girl..you trust him enough for him to be all up in your guts half of the time."
"Jordan!!"
Over the phone, Harley bursted in a fit of laughter. She could barely catch her breath as Robyn's cheeks reddened.
"Am I lying though??"
"Back to the topic, sounds like he's got a lot of baggage? Question is can you carry them all? Like are you at the point where you feel like you need him?"
"I don't believe that I need anyone..I do want him though..and I love him, I'm in love with him."
"Awwww. Let's just hope everything stays in his past."
"He's seriously done with all of it. The fact that he is, is what's making things harder for him because the people who he had worked with in the past aren't really done with him..."
"Damn.."
"Mhm.."
"Well I like him with you Roro. Keep him!"
She tittered.
"I'm serious! Loyal ones are hard to find, let alone have by your side.."
The line went dead for some seconds.
Both Harley and Robyn knew she had been speaking from experience with her late fiancé.
About four years ago, Jordan and her fiancé had been in a horrible car crash with an eight wheeler resulting in his death and the death of their unborn child.
After a long recovery process, she had cut ties with almost everyone, including family, and isolated herself to the point where she moved to Miami in the means of getting away from constant reminders around her.
Jordan is in a much better space than she was all that time ago, therefore Robyn could not be more than happy for her return.
"I want you to be happy and at my parents house you were. I'd like to believe it was because of him. Issues or not, if he's really worth it, screw the haters, and do what you gotta do because at the end of the day, no one is perfect."
"Take us to church sister Calvin woo!" Harley cheered.
Robyn let an adorable laugh loose with a slight head shake.
"You guys are crazy but, very right."
"We know! I've- damn, I didn't realize we've been talking this long! I've gotta go ladies. I've got a meeting in ten, mwah," Harley said her goodbyes rather quickly before she hung up.
