"This is unacceptable!! That tree should have been removed years ago! Look at what it's done to my daughter! I will sue this entire city if I have to!" Marcus threatened the policemen who had just finished questioning a somewhat disoriented Robyn. "My lawyers will be in contact!"

"Marcus calm down or else the hospital will have you escorted out," Leona sighed as she held her daughter's cold hand.

"You- All of you better find whoever did this or else I'll have all your jobs on the market." He shoved his finger in one of the officers chest making him scoff slyly.

"Dad just, let them go.." Robyn spoke up in almost a whisper while scrunching up her nose, "I'm sorry everyone." She wriggled in the uncomfortable bed from her medication wearing off making her fully aware of the pain she was in.

Robyn had been awake for approximately an hour and her father had already began unleashing hell on earth with his antics.

After her doctor successfully stitched up her forehead and cheek, he flashed a small pocket flashlight in her eyes, and checked his clipboard before informing her that he'd be right back. She honestly couldn't wait for that moment to come.

"Don't excuse yourself Robyn, it's their fault for not dealing with the cities demands and they are going to pay for it-"

"Marcus! She has a concussion already, upon many other things, would you stop trying to rule the world for a second and appreciate the fact that our baby is alive and well??" Leona scolded in which he sucked his teeth while pacing around her hospital room.

"You're right..I'm sorry honey-"

"Where's Dean?" Robyn questioned once her head finally stopped spinning, it hadn't ceased ever since she had awoken, "He was in the car with me..he was driving?.. God- wher-"

"He is fine," was all her parents said.

She sat herself up with a struggle having that her wrist was sprained and her entire upper body was sore to an incredible extent.

"I need to see him for myself."

"No you do not. I've told you before, that boy is no good, only trouble. He is the probable reason you're in such a mess, probably even the initial reason this hit and run took place," Marcus rumbled causing Leona to dart him a glare from her daughter's side.

"H- how do you know that? It could've been anyone, maybe even road rage-" she croaked as the feeling of her brain pumping furiously made a return.

"Road rage doesn't leave you for dead."

"What your father is trying to say is, perhaps Mr. Kingsley's past isn't really his past," Leona intercepted on a soft tone whilst tucking some of Robyn's loose hair behind her ear. It appeared as though Marcus informed her on his personal beliefs about her beau.

Before Robyn could say anything else, Dr. Williams made his awaited reappearance.

"Hello again everyone," he smiled brightly as he checked her IV and monitors, "Ms. Calvin and Mr. Desmond, there are some forms I need you both to fill, they are with the receptionist."

Marcus pecked her temple before they both exited the stuffy room.

"Miss Desmond, you have shown signs of brain swelling in certain areas, therefore we'd like to keep you here for another day or two to make sure it goes down. Also as you know, you have a mild concussion which is most likely the cause of the swelling, we'll have a nurse explain to you the restrictions to ensure your full recovery, a sprained wrist, and stitches that need to be checked and cleaned recurrently."

"I'm surprised that that's it but eh, thank you.."

Internally, she wanted to smack that smile off his face, though externally she expressed her true gratitude. Him being so chipper at the current moment was completely irritating.

"No problem. You are very lucky person to have survived such a crash with minimal injuries."

"Yes cuz I'm so lucky to the point where I get to crash into a fucking tree and make it out with injuries but not extreme ones."

"About th- the crash, where is the man I was with? He's about 6'2, bearded, was wearing a black hoodie-"

"I believe he was checked into a different hospital."

"Why?" Robyn was determined in knowing if he was okay. She just needed a little something to forbid her from going crazy.

"I'm not supposed to release such information-"

"Please..he's my boyfriend..." she looked down at her lap then back up with her eyelids fluttering.

He gulped. "The treatment he needed couldn't be provided to him here, hence he was transferred to another hospital. Things like that happen a lot, do not worry," he reassured on the last sentence since her eyes widened at the thought of him being in excruciating pain.

"I should call the hospital-" she looked around for her phone before realizing it wasn't there, nor was there even anything electronic besides her hospital bed's remote.

"Like I said, you have a serious concussion. Electronic devices as well as many others can worsen your chances of quick recovery," checking the time on his watch, he nodded as he marched to the door, "it is currently three in the morning. I will be back by breakfast time, now rest, your body needs it."
