Ch 12

It was after a while that the door opened and Eunji entered, followed by a boy

Her eyes immediately met his and they shared a small smile before greeting everyone

"Anneong everyone! Sorry for being late! Ya. Jung Minki, greet everyone."

"Anneong hyungs! Noonas!" Eunji's now grown up brother greeted with a smile similar to his sister's

"Sorry for bringing him along. He insisted on visiting Seoul with me, and you know I spoil him too much to say no." Eunji apologized cheekily

"Ya! What's there to apologize? Minki ya~ Eat a lot!" Namjoo made a space for him beside her and called him over

"Gomawo Namjoo noona! And congrats on your marriage!" Minki joined her happily

"Yeol oppa, you forgot this at my place." Eunji handed a package over to Chanyeol

"Ya, you two. Are you sure you aren't dating?" Baekhyun asked as he munched on his chicken

"Now that you mention hyung, they are always together." Tao agreed

"Well, I spend more time with Kyungsoo so I must be dating him too then" Eunji rolled her eyes before excusing herself to go to restroom

"Hyung, I can confirm that noona isn't dating Chanyeol hyung." Minki announced, catching attention of everyone

"Minkiya, how can you be so sure?" Hayoung asked

"I think she is getting married soon." Minki said confidently, making Chen choke on his food. DO discreetly handed over drink to him

"Yah~ how can that be possible!? She wasn't even dating anyone till a week ago!" Bomi denied

"Well, I could be mistaken about her marrying but she definitely is dating. And I checked if it's Chanyeol hyung but it wasn't him."

"You checked? But how?" Even Chen was curious now

"Aah..I don't think I should tell about that.. Noona will kill me if she knows I spilled the beans"

"Yaah! Jung Minki! How can you stop at the good part!!!"

"What good part?" Eunji had returned from restroom, and suddenly everyone avoided her gaze and changed the topic

Soon, Eunji settled down and she was busy conversing with her friends. Chen spent his time stealing glances, and smiled when their eyes met from time to time..but the fact that Eunji's first boyfriend was nearby still niggled him deep within.

Kim Jongdae..why are you so insecure!?

Chen took a long breath to calm his nerves.

After sometime, Eunji came to sit in the table he was sharing with Kyungsoo and DO

"What are you guys talking about?" Eunji dragged a chair over and the guys made seat for her between Kyungsoo and Chen

"Hmm, this and that. By the way, why didn't you send me the papers yesterday?" Chanyeol asked

"Aah, since I was coming here anyway I brought it with me. I'll give it to you later." Eunji replied

"Ya, are you starving yourself or something? It looks like you lost some weight." Chen commented, staring at her face

"Is that so? Isn't that good though? Don't guys like skinny girls?" Eunji looked at her reflection at the mirror

"Ya, don't lump me with them. You are best just the way you are." Chen frowned, bringing a bright smile to Eunji's face

"Is that so? I really want to reward that with a kiss" Eunji whispered in Chen's ears

"Really? Should we just skip this gathering and go somewhere?" Chen whispered back in Eunji's ears, earning a light smack on his arms

"YA! BOTH OF YOU! You are in public place for gods sake..Keep some control!" Kyungsoo burst out, earning laughter from Chen, Eunji and Chanyeol

"Honestly, I feel like cringing so much but I'm just happy seeing you both like this... Here..group hug.." Chanyeol spread out his arms, earning a smack from Chen

"Ya, what's with you and your hugs!? And just be glad I'm not the possessive and jealous type. Otherwise your eyes would have been blue-black from all the hugs you give to Eunji!" Chen commented, making Eunji and DO exchange a look

"I hope you remember what you said right now Jongdae ah." Kyungsoo commented to Chen

Before they could ask what Kyungsoo meant, pair of hands covered Eunji's eyes

These hands...The scent...

Eunji's heart skipped in recognition

"...Sun...Sunggyu oppa?" Eunji called out, and the owner of hands groaned and removed the hands

"Yaaah! How come you still manage to guess right? I really wanted to surprise you too!" Sunggyu complained

"Oppa! When did you get back!?" Eunji stood up and greeted him with a bright smile

"It's been about two months. Eunji ya.." Sunggyu stared at her face "You have become really pretty."

"Well, since it's coming from you I'll take it as compliment. "

"Eunji ya.. I have never forgotten you. You were the first person I tried to contact after landing here..Umm..do you want to go grab coffee of something sometime?" Sunggyu asked, lowering his voice so only Eunji heard

Eunji fleetingly gazed at Chen, meeting his eyes

Chen had become pale, having watched the interaction between Eunji and Sunggyu. Eunji ya...who is he to you that you still recognize him after years only by his palms and scent...Why do you look so guilty when our eyes meet?
