-a girl gets her birthday wish, and runs into an unexpected friend-

Millie's pov

I was running, the bottle still in my hand. With a drunken Finn behind me. Was I drunk? Was I high? Was I both? The world was spinning as I ran in the direction I thought Finn's apartment was, I heard them coming after us, their large boots hitting the pavement and their stupid radios that I've heard several times before... I heard everything so clearly but my vision seemed to blur.

The people I was running past looked at me with disgust.. I looked like someone had poured wet trash all over me so I understood, I also smelled terrible. My lungs burned and my stomach twisted in pain because of the new substance that was swishing around and burning the insides of my stomach.

But still, I pushed through the crowds of people, ignoring the pain and glanced back to see if Finn was following, he wasn't, instead he was twirling some girls hair around his finger and giving her love eyes, but the cops were close behind us so he didn't have time to lallygag around the city, I grabbed his hand and glared at him, he stopped giggling and looked at me with confusion.

"What are you doing?! Come on!" I held back the jealousy, but I think you could hear it in my voice, I also think you could hear the 10 shots I had taken only minutes before, for I wasn't too sober either. I dragged him along as we stumbled through streets of people, running back to Finn's apartment.

Earlier that day

"Finn come on" I whined dragging all the 'n's.

"Millie. You're just too innocent I can't take you into a place like that" he replied as he let out a small laugh

"I am not innocent! I just turned eighteen, and I wanna have some fun!" I fought back, my eyes gave him a deathly glare but my lips curled into a smile trying to hold back a giggle

He rolled his eyes as we walked farther away from the bar that had blinking lights and blaring music seeping out of the front door.

"How am I innocent?" I asked pulling at his arm

"Have you ever taken one sip of alcohol??i bet you haven't even had your first kiss yet" He said stopping and looking at me

"Well no, but.. everyone starts somewhere" I let go of his arm, slightly embarrassed by my answer.

He was thinking, I could tell.

"Well if you won't come with me I guess I'll just go by myself" I said slowly walking back towards the bar

"Millie it's 5pm. You're gonna start drinking at 5pm?" He asked staying in his place

"Why not, its my birthday!" I threw my hands in the air, as a joke. He rolled his eyes and smiled.

his curls were messy, parts of his hair looked wet because of the left over gel form the night before. He was also wearing the same clothes, as was I.

"All by myself Finn, all alone in a bar full of people just waiting for a girl like me to walk in and take advantage of, I need someone there to protect me" I said in a higher pitched voice teasing him slowly getting closer to the bar

"Fine, I'll come, but I'm not taking one sip of alcohol" he said finally giving in, he walked over to the entrance of the bar where I was waiting for him

"You're no fun, you know that?" I frowned, as I started opening the door to the bar but Finn stopped me

"Millie" he said looking at me with worry

"Yes?"

"Have fun, but make good decisions, cause I like y-...I like, having you around n' shit" he rubbed the back of his neck
