Betty sighs as she sat all by herself during lunch. An home-made lunch she packed all by herself.

You see...Her parents are dead...Her adoptive parents are the ones who pressure her...Though she broke away from them...

She lives all by herself and she works on the weekends and holidays to help her get by.

She really missed her parents...They would listen to her problems if they were still here. If they didn't died in that car accident when she was only twelve years old...Maybe her life would've different.

She looked up to see a girl.

Betty: I don't want to go...

Girl: Why not...?

Betty: My classmates...They hate me...They think I'm stupid...

The girl made a small smile at Betty.

Lauren: Nice to meet you Betty, I'm Lauren Shepard. Let's be friends for now on.

Betty: Okay!

Was she dreaming...Did this girl really want to be friends with her?! She couldn't wait to tell Maddie the good news.

After that the two girls were best friends for months.

The girls started laughing.

Their hysterical laughter echoed through Betty's ears as her heart broke...
