"Life isn't fair... Espically when you're being judged for your skin color."

Melvin Cartson's life wasn't fair at all to him....

He was bullied throughout his life as African-American boy. It was all because of the color of his skin.

That's the reason why...

But it was a stupid reason...

There's nothing wrong with being black...

Sadly people just don't get it.

But for minorities, the bullying can often center around their race.

Melvin was one of the only black kids that ever dare go to Northwest High.

Northwest High was an usually school for white kids.

90% of the high schoolers there were had white-skin while the 10% had dark skin.

Because students of color in predominantly white schools stand out in the crowd...

That would only mean the bullying was most likely going to happen to poor Melvin...

Melvin: I was picked on by other kids, when I was a bit younger because of the darkness of my skin tone...

Melvin remembers when he was young...The other kids started calling him 'Negro' or 'Nigga'.

He would be pushed down and get beat up.

He remember some white kid telling to go back to Africa and be like one of the monkeys.

That's right...They called him a monkey....

Melvin: Why do people gotta be racist...?!

No one cares about Melvin's lifestyle at home....

His parents are dead...

He had one older brother...But alas, he's gone as well...

The only ones raising him was his Auntie and Uncle.

They want what's best for Melvin.

If only they knew how Melvin's school life is like...

He wish people would stop making fun of him because of his skin tone.

It's sad how black children hostage are dehumanized and criminalized in society to a point where our youth have never shown any empathy.

Young black boys and girls in public schools are suspended and disciplined at exponential rates that are higher than their white peers. Culturally, when many of them are bullied, they aren't given declarations of empathy, but told to "get over it," which often belittles their sentiments and escalates more fatal ways of dealing with trauma.

Melvin always question why do white people who are bullied get treated better while black people get treated like shit just like they back then to when they were still in slavery.

It still felt like America never changed...

So that means if Melvin is black, America wouldn't give a damn...

If he committed suicide, who would care?

He's just another misfit in the corner for being black.

Melvin...hated this life...

Life wasn't fair to him as a child and it definitely wasn't fair to him now...

Because he's still getting bullied because of his race...

Melvin: I hate my life...Why me?
