6. Names

Grabbing the cookies I got up and left to next-door.

My hands were shaking, I'm not even sure why I was so nervous.

Pretty sure it's just the way I am.

Oh well.

I knocked on the door.

Reasonably quickly after a man opened the door.

He had really dark brown hair, to the point of it being pretty much black.

He was one the ones with Brian earlier.

"Oh hey, you're Y/n right?" He said.

"Yeah that's me, but, I do apologise, I only know Brian's name." I said chuckling a little.

"Ah ok, I'm Sungjin the others can introduce themselves." He said and the both of us laughing a little.

Brian and the others were sitting in their lounge room just chatting and playing on their phones.

"Hi." I said and Brian turned to me, instantly smiling.

"Hey, how are you?" He asked kindly.

"Yeah I'm fine what about you?" I bubbled.

"Oh and I also made some cookies for you guys." I explained a little nervous, of course there was the possibility of them not liking what I had made.

"Aw thank you, you didn't need to though." He said gratefully.

"Oh seriously it's fine, but-uh I kind of realised I know only your name and now Sungjin's." I awkwardly told, playing with my thumbs. I was not meaning to show my nervousness, but it still showed, regardless of how ever much I tried.

"Oh-my, I'm sorry uh well I'm sure they'll be fine to introduce themselves." He exclaimed making the others perk up.

"Whats good I'm Jae." (A/n: im sorry i had too) the one I had met the other day told.

"I'm Wonpil." Teetered the other with brown hair.

"Uh, I'm Dowoon." Said the last, a surprisingly deep voice speaking his words.

"Nice to meet you all properly." I said bowing my head politely. "I'm Y/n."

"Trust me we all know that." Said Jae, Dowoon and Wonpil subtly nodding their heads.

"Oh uh ok I-I'm sorry." I said lookig down blushing.

"Nah, its ok you weren't to know Brian just won-" Jae started being cut off by Brian hitting him.

I asked "Where can I put these?" signaling to the cookies remaining in my hands

"Um, I'll take them in the kitchen." He said grabbing them off me.

Not sure of what to do I followed him in the kitchen.

Sungjin was working at cutting up some stuff. So I decided to do the polite thing and volunteer my help.

"Sungjin, can is there an chance that I could help?" I questioned.

"If you really want to, I can't imagine that it would be to enjoyable for you but," He said.

"Oh no sure it's fine I'll help." I said walking further into the kitchen.

"You really shouldn't be helping, you are a guest after all." Brian explained

"Yah, it's fine, honestly." I said. Wouldn't I look like a bitch if I didn't at least try and help?

"Well, It would be be nice if you guys helped this much." Sungjin told as he showed me how to chop some stuff.

"Ugh." Brian left for a bit but came back with the other guys trailing behind him.

"How can we help?" They all groaned in unison causing a devilish grin to grow on Sungjin's face "Just help out with what Y/n's doing." Groaning at once again, they made me giggle.

"So-um. I'm sorry I'm so awkward but what do you guys do for a living?" I asked not wanting this to be a night of boredom and awkwardness; even though I felt as if what I had asked was an awkward question.

In contradiction to my thoughts of it being an awkward question all of their heads poked up seemingly excited to be telling of what they all did.

"We're all in a band." Jae said, the others almost disappointed they didn't get to saying it first.

My face had a smile growing on it. I loved music how did I not know about these guys?

"That is so cool." I gushed "What's the name of your band?"

"Day6." Brian said looking into my eyes.

"Oooohhh." I said coming to realisation of the meaning of our first coversation. "That makes sense now."

Brian laughed, the others looking at each other confusion etched on their faces.

I gelt the need to explain, apparently Brian did as well.

"Well the first time we met she asked me what the day was to which I responded "day6" she didn't get it so I just said Saturday." He explained.

"Why didn't you just look at your phone?" Jae asked.

I lifted my hand ready to say something back but faltering before sighing and proceeding to say "That would of been too much common sense."

"No offense but in what kind of world, now at least, is looking at your phone too much common sense?" Brian asked obviously now becoming more interested in our first encounter with each other.

"Look, I spend 90% of my time sleeping, the rest is spent eating, working, eating and apprently hanging out with you guys. Even though you're bullying me." I said fake crying at the end making the rest of them laugh.

"Anyway, what kind of music do you guys make?" I asked, curious of their careees.

"Well it would probably classify as pop-rock." Brian said.

"Ah I'm going to have to look you guys up. I listen to more western music, rock in particular so it will be interesting to listen to you guys." I said happily.

Honestly that night is one of the best in my life.

I don't recall ever having that much fun.
