I'd toughed out another shift of work. Finally, I was free to go home.

It was Spring now. I smiled as a suttle warmth set over me. Spring is a great season.

Plants were green as green, and some flowers were close to blooming.

The sun was sailing on the horizon, although close to sinking. Yellows and oranges bled out across the sky.

I looked down at my feet. Small stones that made the footpath, crunched under the weight of my shoes.

I smiled as I pushed the door open to my apartment. I looked over at my neighbour's apartment. I hadn't seen any of them in a while. I miss Brian. :'(

I clicked the switch of my lights. Night was setting across the cityscape.

Confusion made my eyebrows furl. I slid my fingers across the light switch again, flicking it back and forth. The light wouldn't turn on.

I set my feet back to check the lights in the hall of the general building complex. They were on. It wasn't a power outage. I let out a pained cry as I sloppily walked to my bedroom to see if the light there was working.

Sure enough, it wasn't.

I grabbed my laptop frustratedly. Hopefully it had charge.

I pulled the lid open shying from looking at the percentage. I knew I had to and it was stupid not to. 45% it read. This will have to be enough I guess.

As quickly as I could I logged into my banking account to see if I had paid my bills. I hadn't. I cry :'(.

I dialled the number for the electricity company into my phone.

After what felt like 1000 lifetimes, my call, was finally, answered.

"Hi, how can I help you?" The monotony in the woman's voice was clear. This was going to be fun.

"Um, I seem to have forgotten to pay my electricity bill. If I pay it now, how long will it take for my power to be turned back on?" I asked.

"Probably in one to two days. Is there anything else?" She asked seeming as if she were about to fall asleep.

"Uh, no that's it!" I say, surprising myself at how cheerfully it came out.

Immediately, I hung up. Crying into my pillow I screamed. Loudly. Let's just not talk about that though.

How was I supposed to watch my TV shows?

How was I supposed to watch my youtube?

I decided I should suck it up. Well for maybe four minutes, at most. To pay my bills. Then I did the most mature thing I could think of. Curl up in my cozy pink blanket and cry.

Okay, maybe that was an over reaction. But I'm emotionally unstable and dying. Let's have a little sympathy ok?

I'm kidding. I'm just extremely immature and childish.

My eyelids were battling it out, trying to stay open. But that effort was unnecessary when the doorbell rang, scaring me to death.

I wiped my now red stained and puffy eyes before answering.

I pulled the door open, only enough so I could poke my head out to see who was there. Except I was just looking at the ground. It would be embarassing for anyone to see my face in this state.

"Hello." I said, not really wanting to talk to anyone at this point.

"Hey!" A familiar voice cheerfully sounded.

"B-Brian?" I stuttered lifting my head instantly. Of all the people to see me like this it had to be him.

"Are you ok?" His tone of voice, now sounded more worried. He craned his neck a bit, try to see my face.

"Oh-uh, yeah, my electricity just got cut out." I explained letting out a bit of a chuckle.

Brian kinda just made an oh face and said "I'll be right back.". As soon as he said that he rushed somewhere, I presumed it was his apartment.

So, he said he was going to come back. Do I shut the door or do I leave it open. I don't know what any normal person would've done. But they would not have thought about it this much.

I need help. Please help.

A few minute passed. A rustling sound came from my door. Brian walked through the door a material grocery bag was held in his arm.

"The stove here is gas right?" Brian asked, although he seemed pretty sure already.

"Yeah." I replied curious as to what he was doing.

He placed down the bag. Grabbing stuff out of it. He set down what appeared to be candles.

They were candles. He lit them up. He set me a lowly lit smile.

How is he so cute?

He's such a bean and I can't.

He searched around my kitchen, opening and closing each cupboard. He looked as if he was in search of something.

"Haha yes!" He cheered. It was cute. I died. He pulled out a small silver pot.

Then proceeding with what he was doing. I presumed he was cooking something.

Even though I did have a good idea as to what was going on, I kinda just stood there watching him with a confused look on my face.

A crinkling sound arose when he pulled something from his bag. My eyes moved quickly to see what he was holding. Ramen? It looked ramen. Brian, a saviour of humanity, he brought ramen.

"I haven't seen you around lately, have you been ok?" I asked. Oh god. I'm so awkward. Why am I so awkward?

"Oh. I'm really sorry I didn't tell you. I should've told you." He said, almost seeming worried. "We were in Japan. We released our first Japanese single.".

"That is so cool. I'm jealous, I want to go to Japan." I said pouting a little before laughing. Brian laughed along with me.

"Well maybe we could go tohether one day." He said almost sounding as if he was asking.

"Wait actually? I don't want to seem stupid. But that would be so cool." I said, well more fangirled, but you know.

"Sure, I'd love to spend more time with you!" He replied, a confident smile setting across his face.
Did you hear that? That was the sound of my heart exploding.

He turned back around, facing the stove. Stirring it, apparently he's found a spoon at some point. His feet scrambled across the floor, flinging around cupboard doors.

"What are you trying to find?" I asked a big smile across my face.

"Bowls." He said, embarrassed. I laughed at his cuteness before going directly to the right cupboard, pulling out the desired item.

"Thank you!" He said before serving the ramen into the bowls.
