Today was a long day. My shift at work seemed to go on forever.
But finally I was at home and able to rest. I walked to my room, I grabbed my pijamas and walked to my bathroom.
Water streamed down my arm as I checked the temperature. "Fuck!" I curse, the water was cold, very cold. "Damnit." I sighed.
My hot water had been turned off. What can I do?
Forgetting to pay my bills, three cheers for me.
"Ugh," I was annoyed at myself, how could I forget?
I decided to call my real estate people and ask.
Ring ring ring, the repetitive sound ran through my ear.
"Good evening, how can I help?" The woman on the other end said, a phrase which she probably repeats for the majority of the day.
"Good evening, my hot water's been cut off. I understand I haven't payed my bill yet. But I was just wondering how long it would take to restore it after I've payed?"I ask hoping it wouldn't be too long.
"Well it normally takes around one to two days, however, that time can be longer or shorter. If you pay now it'll probably be on by tomorrow afternoon." The lady explained.
"Shit." I muttered under my breath. "Well I appreciate your trouble, have a good night." I thanked before hanging up.
I rubbed my temples considering what to do. "Well I guess I should pay." I mumbled to myself.
I payed on my laptop. It's not like I didn't have the money, I'd just forgotten.
But one question still lurked. How was I going to have a shower?
No.
No. No. No.
I had an idea. I could go next door. But they'd already been so nice to me, they're all guys plus it's just super embarrassing saying that your hot water got cut off because you didn't pay the bills.
The thing is, I do need a shower. BUT I'M SO FUCKING AWKWARD.
Well I gotta do this, wish me luck, not like they're famous or anything... Heh.
What's it with me making myself more nervous?
I walked next door and knocked. Thankfully Brian opened the door.
"Hey! What's up?" He asked happily.
I looked down cringing at myself "Well-uh, I'm sorry this is embarassing, I forgot to pay my bills and my hot water's been turned off I was wondering if I could maybe use your shower?"
Brian chuckled a little "Of course, I'll show you to it if you like." He offered.
"Oh-thank you so much, that would be lovely." I gushed.
"Here it is." He gestured to the room.
"Oh my god, seriously, thank you so much. I'm so embarrassed." I said nervously.
"Hey, it's ok, it happens to the best of us." He reassured.
****
So the shower was nice but, you see, I'm kind of stupid and well, I forgot a towel.
Stupidity is just weeping from me today.
I'vd been in here for maybe five minutes considering how to dry myself.
"Are you ok? You've been in there for a while." I hear Brian say after a quick knock.
"Well, I forgot a freaking towel." I said giggling at my own stupidity.
"Oh." Brian laughed "I'll get you one."
Thank the lord for Brian, I swear he's actually an angel.
Another knock came from the door "Here I got one for you."
I opened the door ever so slightly, weary of the fact that I was completely naked.
He put the towel through the small gap , grabbed it from behind the safety of the door.
"Sorry and thank you." I said before he shut the door.
Mentally, I freaked WHY AM SO EMBARASSING?? SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!
I dried myself, obviously then getting dressed.
"Thank you all so much. I really appreciate everything you've done for me. I'll wash this towel for you guys. If that does anything to help with my thanking." I chuckled at the last bit.
"Seriously Y/n it's ok." Brian assured.
"No, you didn't need to do this for me. I'd like to make you guys dinner one time or at least order pizza and play video games or something." I offered causing the rest of the guys to raise to heir heads.
"I think everyone likes the idea of the last one." Brian laughed.
"That's ok, just tell me a night when you're free and I'll sort something out." I said a smile growing on my face.
"See you guys and thank you once again!" I called, waving then leaving.
