<Alexia’s POV>

I remained silent and unemotional; I just heard a weak voice and dripping of his blood on the cold floor. My mom walked towards onto him used her speed and removed the cloth covering the man’s face.

I just stared at his mauled face. I noticed that he was shackled by silver chains, the weakness of vampires. His left eye was severely injured making his eye inflamed and bruised. His lip continues to bleed but still he didn’t notice me.

A soldier approached him and torn apart his blood-spattered white shirt. I just closed my eyes for a moment and stared at his wounded body. The lashes of the whip were proved that he suffered from my mother’s commands.

“Look at him! He’s weak and pathetic, you shouldn’t saved him from his death”, nasa likuran ko si mama ng sinabi niya ang mga katagang iyan.

Itinaas ng sundalong nakabantay kay Slater ang ulo niya gamit ang buhok at iniharap sa amin.

“You! Do you fear death?!”, tanong ni mama sa kanya habang nasa harapan ng mukha ni Slater.

Ngumiti lang sa kanya si Slater at dumura sa sahig.

Tinignan ni mama si Slater at aakmain niyang sasampalin nito ng ginamit ko ang bilis ko at hinawakan ang pulso ni mama at pinigilan ang pagdapo nito sa mukha ni Slater.

“Enough!”, tinignan ko si mama sa mata at alam kong dapat ko itong katakutan dahil ipinakita na niya ang mata ng kamatayan.

Kumalas si mama sa pagkakahawak ko sa kanya at umupo uli sa throne chair.

“Are you defending that man?!”, mahinahon ang boses ni mama pero bawat bigkas niya ay tumataas ang balahibo ng mga nandito.

Alam kong maging ang mga sundalo ay natakot sa kanya pero nanatili akong nakatingin sa kanya.

“If I answered yes, are you going to set him free?”, tanong ko sa kanya habang nakita kong pinaluhod si Slater sa harapan niya.

“Hahahahaha! You’re insanity is hilarious. Are you telling me that you want that man to be one of us?”, hindi ko man lang naramdaman na napunta siya sa harapan ko dahil kanina nakaupo lang siya.

“He is one of us, my blood is in his veins”, nakita kong tinignan niya si Slater at nagsalita uli.

“You’re right, but we can’t let him live”, may ibinulong sa akin si mama pero wala na akong magagawa tungkol dyan.

“Fine, I will let you to take responsibility upon him but remember this; your grandfather is a lot of worse than me”, umupo uli si mama at binigyan ng utos ang mga sundalo na i-unlock na ang mga kadena ni Slater.

Nanatili akong nakatayo at nakabagsak naman sa sahig si Slater. Pinaalis muna ni mama ang mga bampirang nandito at naiwan kaming tatlo.

“What are you going to do about your marriage?”, tanong niya sa akin.

“The councils decided that and I have nothing to do with it but to accept that I will marry Magnus”

“Good! It will be better to our family”, tumayo na si mama mula sa pagkakaupo at naglakad na palabas ng throne room at patungo sa Queen’s chamber ng nagsalita siya uli.
