Y/n POV
"Y/n!!" Mia squeals as she hugs me tightly.
"Mia!" I say, not as excited as her.
"I missed you so much!" She smiled, plopping down on her bed.
"Its only been a week but missed you too" I chuckle, setting my bag down.
"We should call Carter and Elijah over and go out for dinner and catch up"
"Catch up? On what? It was a pretty calm and boring week at home" I lie.
"Doesn't mean it wasn't for them!"
"Alright, fine" I smile.
"Yes!"
Time fucking skip
"He should be here" Elijah bit his lip, looking around nervously.
"I'm sure he's on his way, he probably just got stuck in traffic or something" I assure him.
"You have nothing to worry about, bud" Carter pats Elijah's back.
"Oh! I think thats him!" Elijah sat up excitedly at the sight of a familiar maroon beanie.
"Abel" Carter yelled, earning the attention of everyone around us "over here!"
"You didn't have to do that. We could have simply waited for him to look over here to be sure it was him and wave him over. There is no need for yelling" Elijah quietly spoke as Abel made his way over to us.
"Hey adorable" Abel kissed the top of Elijah's head and sat down next to him.
We all decided to meet at (favorite restaurant). We sat and talked about what happened over break or what we could do later. I was staring out the window, not paying attention to the conversation my friends were having when Mia leaned over to me and whispered.
"Look at that cutie over there" she smirked.
"Shut up" I chuckled. It amazes me how boy crazy she is.
"I don't care if you have a boyfriend, I will still tell you when I see a cute boy" Mia giggled, earning a confused look from the boys across from us.
"Girls, I know I'm hot but you missed your chance" Carter smirked at the two of us.
"Um, no thanks" Mia shook her head.
"I don't mind if you tell me when you see a cute boy but don't expect me to agree. I might stay single for awhile" I spoke, earning wide eyes from Mia.
"What happened to your boyfriend back at home?" She asked.
"Oh, we're done. He was a piece of shit" I shrugged.
"Seriously! Yes! Now I don't have to go to parties alone!"
"Oh no! I'm still not going to those. I still have work I need to do"
"Please Y/n!" Mia begged.
"They're really not that bad" Carter shrugged.
"Don't go to those things. They're abhorrent and disturbing" Elijah cuts in.
"Shut up, Elijah" Mia scolded "please come with me to one! There are tons of people you can meet, not to mention the guys-"
"No! I'm not going!" I shook my head.
"She doesn't want to go, leave her alone" Elijah speaks.
"Fine" Mia groans.
"Your loss" Carter shrugs.
"I don't see the big deal in those things. Its just a room with loud music and drunk people" Elijah scrunched up his nose in disgust.
"Thats cause you prefer reading than having fun" Abel said nicely, setting his hand on Elijah's.
"Excuse me, reading is way more fun than drunkly grinding on someone. Besides, I can't die from alcohol poisoning from reading" Elijah argues.
"Okay, I'm on his side" I smile, pointing to Elijah.
"You two probably have never had a drop of alcohol before" Carter smirks.
"Shows how much you know me" I fold my arms, smirking at Carter across from me.
"What? This goody goody has had alcohol before?" Carter scoffed in disbelief.
"You'd be surprised to find out that I used to sneak out to meet with my old friends to drink and get high" I lean in, speaking quietly, my smirk never fading.
I am ashamed by what I did in high school. Why am I so confident about it now?
Carter leans in and speaks quietly "Prove it. Go to a party with Mia and Me this weekend"
"Fine" I lean back, folding my arms again.
"Lets see how drunk this good girl can get" Carter smirked at Mia.
"Yes! Good job Carter!" Mia high fives Carter from across the table.
"What have you done, Y/n?" Elijah shakes his head.
