Y/n POV

"Does Mark know you're here?" I ask, setting my eyes on the Irish man driving.

"I don't think so. I feel like I told him but I remember telling myself not to because he'd end up freaking out and telling you" Jack smiled.

"Sounds like him" I chuckled, grabbing his phone from the cup holder and unlocking it.

I open the camera and take a picture of him driving. He smiles and glances over at me, a small laugh coming out of him.

"Why're you takin a picture of me?" Jack asked.

"Just felt like it" I shrugged, smiling down at him phone.

I took a bunch of weird selfies to fill his gallery. I picked the weirdest one and set it as his background, holding in laughter. I set his phone back where it was in the cup holder and stared out the window, watching the signs quickly pass.

Jack and I were taking a day for ourselves. Away from Mia, Carter, and Elijah. As soon as Carter heard about this, his smirk immediately grew and comments about wearing protection were shooting out of his mouth.

I instantly snap back to reality as the car slowed down and pulled to the side. Jack cursed under his breath and jumped out. I instantly raise my eyebrows in confusion and get out of the car. Jack is kneeling down next to a tire, his eyebrows stitched together. He brought his hand away from the tire and stood up.

"Its flat" He mumbles.

"What happened?" I ask.

"I don't know" he shrugs.

"We could always call triple A?"

"I guess"

I open my door again and quickly grab my phone. I walk back over to jack as I punch in the number. Before I pressed the call button, the screen turned black and a battery popped up.

"Are you kidding me?!" I groan in frustration "It was at fifteen percent!"

Jack sighs.

"I haven't paid my phone bill for months"

"Why?" I raise a brow.

"Haven't had the money" He shrugs.

"What? Why didn't-" I began.

"Maybe we can find a gas station near here and use their phone" Jack suggested.

He could've told me, I would've sent him money for it. He's been working a lot more lately. Is he struggling with money? All he has to do is tell me, I would send him money in a heartbeat. He probably needs it more than me anyway.

"I haven't seen anything for miles" I cross my arms and lean on the back of the car.

Just as I finished that sentence, an old, beaten up truck pulled up behind us. A tall and slim guy with red hair, ripped jeans and a wife beater on came out of the driver side. A short, skinny, brown haired man came out of the passenger side with a cigarette poking out of his mouth.

"Whats the problem here?" The red haired male asked, a southern accent showing clearly. Jack came up and set his elbow on the side of the car, leaning against it, sending odd looks to the two men.

"Flat tire" I answered, standing up off of the car.

"We have a spare in our trunk" The short one blew smoke out while he talked.

"Great, could you help?" I asked, a smile growing.

"Sure can, princess" The red haired smiled "I'm Allen, this is Shane" he said, turning and walking back to his truck.

"Y/n, Jack" I introduced, pointed to me and Jack.

Shane followed Allen, blowing smoke through his nose, making me cough as it came my way. Jack leaned over to me and whispered.

"I don't trust these two" He glanced at them every now and then.

"Why?"

"I just don't have a good feeling about them. I'm getting bad vibes from them."

"Its fine, all they're going to do is replace the tire. That shouldn't take long"

"They could follow us, rob us, kill us"

"You're thinking too much into this. They're just changing the tire"

"Y/n, they-" Jack started.

"Hey girly, could you help us for a moment?" Allen yelled.

"They're fine" I poked his arm, walking over to Allen and Shane, Jack following close behind. Allen held up a small bag and told me to hold it. The four of us walked back over to the car and set everything down. Allen kneeled down to the tire and began twisting the bolts off after holding the car up with the jack. Jack stood close by my side, glaring at both the men.

"So where y'all from?" Shane asked, watching Allen change the tire with a smirk.

"None of your goddamn business" Jack spoke harshly.

"Damn, okay then" Shane held his hands up, chuckling.

"Shane, pay attention and hand me the damn tire" Allen demanded, pointing at the new tire.

Shane lifted its side and rolled it over to Allen. Allen grabbed it and began putting it on the car. Watching Allen tighten the bolts back on, I felt a hand on my back. Assuming it was Jack acting protective, I did nothing. The hand slowly slid down and grabbing the waistband.

I jumped and slapped his hand off, realising it was Shane. Jack noticed and grabbed Shane by the collar of his shirt, mumbling threats to him. Allen dropped a bolt in his hand and pulled Shane and Jack apart.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Allen yelled at Jack.

"What the hell was he doing?! While you were focusing on that damn tire, your friend got a little too touchy-" Jack was interrupted by Shane.

"What?! I did not! I was just standing there and he came at me!" Shane lied.

"He's fucking lying!" Jack yells.

"Is she yours?" Allen asked.

"No, why does-" Jack started.

"If she isn't yours, he can do anything he wants to her, its not your business" Allen rolled his eyes.

"Are you insane?!" Jack yells "That is not right! You can't go up to a random girl and start touching her however you want!"

"Just fix the damn tire and leave!" I yell, grabbing their attention.

Allen rolls his eyes, mumbling a string of curses under his breath. Shane grabs his stuff and gets into his truck. Jack grabs my hand and keeps my close behind him until Allen finishes. Allen picks up the old tire and set it in his trunk. Jack and I quickly got back into out car and left, Jacks hand in mine, calming me down.

He has no idea how happy, yet scared he makes me.

Happy because he cares for me and never lets me down. Scared because I don't want to lose him. I don't want to lose the happy, loud, caring twenty-year-old that I'm lucky enough to call my friend.

What would I do without him?
