Y/n POV
"Mark never did that!" I smile up at Jack.
"Yes he did! I swear up and down he did!" Jack giggles, following me down the hallway of the dorm.
"Another guy, Y/n?" Ashley rolls her eyes "You really are a slut"
Her friend next to her giggles. I sigh and continue down the hallway. Great, this just had to happen with Jack here.
"Excuse me?" I hear Jacks voice. Turning around, I see Jack standing by Ashley and with a raised eyebrow.
"I'm only warning you" Ashley says innocently as I get closer. Jack glances at me then back to Ashley.
"I'm sorry, I highly doubt Y/n, my best friend since high school, would ever do something like that" Jack folds his arms "Are you sure you're not the slut here?"
"Excuse me?!" Ashley yells.
"I mean, you have the tight, short clothes, tons of makeup, lying to make yourself look better-" Jack started.
"I'm not lying! You may have known her since high school but she's changed!" Ashley calmed down "She's slept with countless guys this past year. You may be next"
"Jack-" I was interrupted by a fuming Irish man.
"Listen here. Shut your makeup bombed face and stay the hell out of her business. Stop lying about her and leave her the fuck alone, you hear me?" Jack mumbles threateningly, getting closer to Ashley.
"Who the fuck are you anyway? You have no right to tell me what to do" Ashley scoffed.
"And you have no right to make up lies about someone"
"Could I make up lies about us? Or could we make those lies a truth?" Ashley bites her lip, staring up at him. Ashley's friend smiles and sends an evil glare my way.
"If they're about me breaking your neck, I'd be delighted" Jack glares down at her.
"Y/n? Jack?" Mia walks down the hallway, confusion written all over her face.
"Mia, the sluts friend" Ashley rolls her eyes.
Jack grabs the collar of her shirt and slams her against the wall behind her. Mia rushes over, fear and excitement in her eyes. Ashley's friend jumps at the sudden movement and backs away. I try to pull Jack away but he refuses to move.
"Speak one more word about her, see what happens" Jack threatens.
Ashley stutters, eyes wide and full of fear. She couldn't form a single word. A slight smile grows on Mia's face as she folds her arms. Jack slowly backs away and releases her shirt from his grip. He begins to walk down the hallway, fists clenched. Mia and I follow behind him, leaving a speechless Ashley behind.
Mia unlocks the door and the three of us walk in. Jack sighs and plops on my bed, his head in his hands. I slowly sit next to him as Mia sits across from us on her bed. We all sit in silence (|-/), not really sure what to say.
"I-I'm sorry" Jack mumbles into his hands.
"For what?" I ask, and eyebrow raised.
"I overreacted, didn't I?"
"No, of course not! That was amazing!" Mia cheers "I've been wanting to beat the shit outta her since I first saw her but Y/n would never let me"
"She just-she has no right to say something about someone like that" Jack sighs and uncovers his face "Especially not Y/n" he mumbles.
"Thank you" I mumble, a small smile on my face.
"For what?" Jack asks this time.
"For standing up for me, I guess" I shrug.
"You know I always will" Jacks arm wraps around my shoulders, pulling me close to him "Even if you say not to" Jack chuckles.
My face reddens at the contact. The soft voice. The adorable chuckle. Everything about him makes the butterflies in my stomach soar just at the sight of him.
"So how was y'alls day out?" Mia breaks the silence, a smile on her face.
"Fun" I smile "He friggin abandoned me in the middle of nowhere" I playfully punch his side.
"Did not!" Jack giggles "I just ran away from you and hid"
"Yeah, such a big difference. My mistake" I sarcastically speak.
