Yes, another day, another morning, another meal. Ciel was currently enjoying his breakfast of which had been prepared by Sebastian at the dinning table.
All the servants at this time had been semi-preoccupied. Mey-Rin was standing next to the table, ready to attend to any need that the young master might have, such as a refill; Sebastian was at Ciel's side, explaining his schedule for the day; and Finnian was clearing the table whenever something was no longer of use.
Directly behind Finnian, a few meters away, was Baldroy, whom was clearing the pots, pans, and strainers that were used to make breakfast, ridding them of any residue and scraps that had been left behind.
And behind Baldroy, was you. You were talking to him and helping out with more minute tasks, such as handing him the soap when he needed it.
You weren't very hungry this morning, so you had decided to skip breakfast and wait until lunch time.
Now, it's no secret that Ciel can be almost heartless at times, and can be highly unsympathetic, but he must've been having one of his many bitch moments.
Taking one of his darts, he randomly, purposely threw it at Finnian. With his eyes closed, enjoying his food, Ciel continued to eat as if it was nothing; he didn't even look back. Had he, he would have realized that the dart didn't actually hit Finny.
Out of reflex, when Finnian saw the dart coming at him, he ducked, causing the dart to further pursue a straight path, maintaining its speed somehow... and, well... uh... Bard found a penny, so you can imagine who was next in line to be hit.
The dart ended up hitting you on your arm. Not too deep as to cause injuries, but deep enough for it to stay hooked onto your body. Teeny tiny droplets of blood began to appear.
Just as Ciel was about to wonder why Finnian wasn't whining, he received his answer.
"Ciel Alexander Phantomhive!" You yelled. You tugged at the dart a little bit, unhinging the 3 millimeters of it that was in your arm.
Out of anger, you threw the dart back at him; luckily, your throw hit the intended target.
Jumping slightly, Ciel had been a bit startled when the dart zoomed ever so close to him; he hadn't expected you to shoot it back. Looking down at his cake, he looked at the dart that pierced the side of it, relief coursing his veins.
In the heat of the moment, he was actually scared; but just like his relief and normal emotions, he didn't let even a ray of it reveal itself.
