It was almost afternoon when the ship reached the shores of Zhield. The company felt grateful for the help Honsule had provided them. In spite of the reassurance the crew had provided them, they could not get rid of the guilty feeling in their guts.

“We must leave now my lady, hope you have good day ahead.” The captain bowed to Aerien and left them alone on the lonely island. The island had a rugged surface with a high hill in the middle. Except a few brown grasses here and there, there seemed to be no other form of life there

“But I thought Zhiel was a beautiful island with lots of green trees and well tended gardens.” Idril stated, scanning the background.

“Yes that’s what I have heard too…well some centuries ago though.” Aerien said. By now she had come to accept the fact that she was from a different time and was more desperate than ever to get the answers to her questions.

“So what now?” Asked Ithil.

Since there was nothing else to do, the company decided to explore the island a bit. The island was, to their disappointment, rather small and they discovered nothing new. However, they found a cliff on the other side with an unusually plain surface. They lingered there for a moment and tried to tap the rock with a hope to discover a secret door but with no success. Finally when the sun set and the darkness fell, they had to give up their search.

“The Zhields are not supposed to be secretive. They are open to all those who seek knowledge.” Idril said.

“Yes but those were before the war, we do not get much relevant information after the war. The war resulted in the loss of many things. The friendship between lands is also lost.” Idril explained.

"Trust you to know it all." Ithil commented.

Idril playfully nudged her in the ribs and she giggled.

They put up a tent in front of the cliff and the siblings discussed about the events in war. But Aerien did not say anything. Ithil had noticed that she was unusually quite after the events of Honsule. At times she used to observe the runes on her sword as if trying to understand what it meant.  Today she sat quietly staring at the cliff. She wished she knew what was going on in her mind.

Ithil was awoken in the morning by Aerien. She seemed excited.

“She says she has found something.” Idril explained.

“Found what? Another strange sword?” Ithil asked hotly. Immediately she felt sorry for her tone. Aerien’s face fell and she looked like someone who regretted doing some horrible crime in the past.

“I did not mean it.” Idril said quickly. “Any ways show us what you found.”

It did not improve her mood but she led the way towards the plain cliff they had found yesterday. The sunlight was now falling on the stone and it looked beautiful. But nothing that they wanted.

“Aerien, what is it that you want us to see?” Idril asked.

“Don’t you see?”Aerien said as if it was obvious.

“No.” both of them replied.

“No lines? No inscriptions?” She asked. But she was only returned with blank stares.

Aerien looked surprised and lightly touched the slab. As she did so, spiral lines seemed to appear on the cliff, glowing more and more. They were arranged in the shape of a door with different elements of the earth, depicting the beauty and purity of Qhuilyenn. As the lines became more and more prominent, they noticed that they weren’t actually ‘lines’ but rather elegant inscriptions beautifully carved with skill, so that they looked like fine lines to those who looked from far.
