Daniel can't help but sigh due to frustration. Sinulyapan niya ang cellphone niya at hindi naiwasan ang inis.

He's been waiting for 3 hours already and his damn cousin isn't there yet.

Nong nag ring ang phone niya ay napatalon kaagad siya. Sinagot niya ito.

"Daniel," the storm in his father's voice made him gulp.

"Mayor," sagot niya gamit ang pormal na tono.

"Where are you? Indira told me you went somewhere? I will be needing those reports on my table by 3 this afternoon."

"Yes, mayor. Right away,"

Akala niya binaba na ng ama niya ang telepono pero huminga ito ng malalim bago nagsalita," The doctors called me and will be needing my presence today. Kung nasan ka man, cancel it. Come right away dahil ikaw ang ipe-present ko sa board for this upcoming project in Ortega. I will be in the hospital to face your mother's doctor,"

Napatayo ng maayos si Daniel. He also wants to go and check his mother but he knows he can't. With a hidden frustration he agreed to his father's condition.

"Good. I will be leaving Indira for your guidance in the meeting." Kaagad binaba ng ama niya ang tawag at sakto naman ang paglabas ng lalaking kanina pa niya hinihintay.

Wearing a white shirt na pinatungan ng itim na leather jacket at faded black na pants, his cousin- smirking- walked towards him. Tinanggal nito ang suot na sun glasses at tumawa na sa reaction ng pinsan.

"Okay, it wasn't my fault the plane got delayed. Maling tawag pala ang narinig ko nong sinabing boarding na kami." Daniel can't help but roll his eyes.

Kung hindi lang importante ang pagpunta ng pinsan niyang si Marco ay kanina pa niya ito iniwan at pinasakay ng taxi. But he will be needing his help.

Pinapaandar na niya ang sasakyan nong sinimulan na kaagad ni Marco ang pagtatanong.

"So you still won't let this guy go? It's been a year, man. Okay naman si Tita Reyna. Last time we checked ay may greater chance na gigising siya. All her wounds were healed so why the need to find this guy?"

"This guy is the reason why my mother is in the hospital. She's in a coma because of what he did! Kung hindi lang sana siya pakealamero at hinayaan na ang mga pulis sa trabaho nila ay hindi sana na ospital ang nanay ko."

The rage inside Daniel grew stronger. He won't stop till he held the vigilante captive. He will make sure that the guy will pay.

Tinaas ng pinsan niyang si Marco ang mga kamay nito.

"So where will I be staying? Please don't say the mansion."

Hindi maiwasan ni Daniel ang pagngisi. Kinamumuhian ng pinsan niya ang pagtira sa mansion nila. He doesn't like the presence of his father. Masyado itong intimidating at demanding. Every time he stays with them his father will always give Marco the 'devil's time' as what Marco calls it. It's the time where his father talks non stop about business and politics and on how he should be involve just like his parents.

"I mean, business and other shits are not my thing, you know? My job right now is enough, it may not be as big as what my parents are earning but at least I enjoy it." Kibit balikat ni Marco.

Hindi na niya pinakinggan ang pinsan niya at hinatid ito sa isang hotel na sikat sa lugar nila. The hotel owned by the Vanderpilts. Nagche-check in ang pinsan niya nong napansin niya ang isang babae na pamilyar sakaniya.
